I have 10 windows in my house. Plus 3 sliding glass patio doors. No mice activity. Boots stay in the closets unless in use.

Skype for Business is specifically part of Teams now and there is almost no-body in our company using it any more. Instead they use Teams.

Had a chat with brother Tom about his driving. To keep from driving a wedge between us, did not request he hand over his keys like he did Mom, but suggested he start looking for a driver.

Told him I had started looking for a driver for myself when my vision got to 20/80 since 20/100 is legally blind. But was mighty thankful I was back to 20/25 now.

But Jim, are they enterprise class windows or just Pro class? Enterprise windows can be opened and closed at your convenience. Pro class will close automatically if they feel it is necessary to stop refreshing the air in the house, regardless of what you would like. Sometimes the pro windows will go opaque and not allow you to see out of them until such time as they see fit. And if you try to open them, they just close right back up and go opaque for a longer period making them useless. At that point I would like to toss a boot through them, but then the mice can get in from the fields.

Mom fell and ended up gettig a hip replacement.
Chandler Az doesn't have a straight road, I keep getting turned around and I never get lost.
And I don't like hotels.

Sammy, there is a new invention call the GPS. If comes built in to smart phones of today.

Montgomery, AL has no straight roads either. The city was formed from three different communities, all built aroud the bend of a river. You can drive down one street, suddenly you are in the middle lane, then the right lane all without changing lanes. And the name of the road will change three times.

Oklahoma City is like a giant chess board. One mile squares. If you want to go southwest 99% of the time it is impossible. You have to go a mile south, the west, then south and so on. Some of the streets will continue on for 50 miles or more in a straight line.

Sorry to hear about yer mom. Hip replacements done right are something a otherwise healthy person can rehab from fairly easy. My mother had 4 hip replacements and she only had two hips. Two replacements per hip. She just wore out the first set of replacements and her OEM hips.

Well, I'm a pretty enterprising guy...for a total slacker.

Sammy, sorry to hear about your Mom's injury. I hope she recovers quickly. Getting old is not for the timid.

Microsoft wants to set up every computer as if it is a student's laptop that they take everywhere. If the OS saw laptop specs fine. When you see lots of RAM, high end CPUs and huge hard drives, and thousand dollar video cards, maybe set it up for performance not social media and games.

I guess Microsoft will start to listen to me about the time Apple listens about the very worst piece of software ever, iTunes. iTunes makes Microsoft Bob look like genius level software.

I need to find a hobby.

Grew up fishing with Dad.
After college got into computers, then became work.
Did 4x4 off road and guns for a short time.
Traded guns for R/C planes for a long while.
Traded planes for Porsche and Autocross.
Did that until stepped on nail and cant drive a clutch in anger any more.
Did r/c helicopters and quad copters for a short time until dexterity faded and can't fly or repair.
Watched a lot of movies/TV, bout wore that out.

Need to find a hobby to keep myself entertained and can physically do with my health concerns.

I heard about that GPS thing, but that only helps the black helicopters to help track your every move :)

Chandler is easier to navigate than SoCal!!!

Don’t come to Hawaii then Sammy. Not a straight stretch of road on the island.

Is automatic updates when someone comes and puts in a new window that you didn’t want in the wrong place and does a half ass job if it?

Yup. Sometimes the new one doesn't even seal the weather out properly so you have to revert back to the old one again.

Back in the olden days when we last lived there for the second time (1967 to 1971) we lived in Waipahu on Kahuahale St. When we told people how to get to our house we quit using street names, just identified the landmark, like the green house, or the big tree.

To get to our house you had to turn off the highway into the edition on Kahuallii St, turn right on Kuhuanui St, Go down to Kuhuamo St, to Kuhuanui St, to our street. And I am not kidding! Only natives had any idea how to find us otherwise.

And no one uses North or South, it is Diamond head, Koko head, towards the ocean or towards the mountains. And GPS was a dream for the far future.

My dad drove exactly 10 miles to work, it took one hour every day, either way at anytime even close to work hours. Just behind our edition was pineapple fields and sugar cane fields. The fields are all covered in houses now I am sure.

Oh the humanity!

Pandora's site seems to be down. I am forced to listen to just my own collection of music.

Normally at home, er um "work" at my home office I just use the Pandora player program and all is fine. It just died, and will not play, so I went to the web site, and it is down. So I am forced to have to listen to my own collection just like I do in my car.

Sounds like a strong workman’s comp case to me.

GH85Carrera 06-07-2019 01:48 PM

And a really valid reason to knock off work early. It is Friday night in the big town, I think I will take the bosses wife to dinner and maybe have a beer or two of the bosses beer.

Ah ha. Our company anti-virus software has decided the scripts I have been running for over a month are now malicious. Filemaker calls a windows command shell script to run a powershell script for the computer to speak a couple of words to let me know if new updates have been found.

Told us to be careful because the file alrets are coming from off campus. The alerts are from my computer and the scripts are running only on my computer.

My guess is it must be mailicious to get my pc to do something my mac can do. Like tell me by voice there are new updates to user data.

GH85Carrera 06-07-2019 03:51 PM

Stijn!!
