Are you running for neighborhood association office or something?

Used to have a white pursian cat on our block I've seen taking out a rabbit.
Haven't seen any rabbits in the last year. Think maybe the owls got em.
Come to think of it, haven't noticed Pepper chasing any squirrels or possum this spring either.

I would love to rent an owl or any raptor to take out the rabbits for us. Just stay away from the dachshunds, they are not on the menu.

Ground squirrels are the biggest issue here. The dogs keep the rabbits mostly away. I want to put up a Kestrel box for the little rodents. Mostly I shoot the ground squirrels when I see them.

The rabbits are smart enough to stay in the front yard where the dogs are not allowed. We don't have ground squirrels here, just the standard tree rat type, lots of them. The dogs chase them off but they come back.

Last spring had a couple of rabbits that sat under a tree in the front yard and watched the sun set. it was very cute. Then there was just one...then there were none.

Yep, Between Pepper and the Owl the back yard is pretty varmit or anything that moves free.

Since I was not in a major rush or need for my new tires, they arrived today. The two front tires came via FedEx at 11:30, the two rear tires came via UPS at about 12:30. All four were order at the same time, and all from the same company, that shipped them from the same warehouse.

Whatever, they all 4 arrived. Now I need to call the place and set up a time to have them mounted and road-force balanced.

A dose of KFC once per year is almost good for you to remember to stay away from mediocre food. Fried chicken can be really good, but KFC has always been near the bottom of the list for food.

Since it is the 4th, we slept in an extra hour, and I am going to go play in the garage on the 911 today. One of the switches for the electric seat is just dead, and I want to get that fixed. It means removing the seat, and turn it over on a bench, and clean the switch and check the connections.

Not something we do often but the missus was making an appearance at A&E (suspect she passed a gall stone) and the dirty bird shop was close when hunger got the better of me.

Bro Bob's neighbor worked at a KFC. They gave him leftovers almost every day for over a year. His doc said that diet pushed him into his bypass surgery. Now he don't eat it.

Got food poisoning from a Grandy's when in my 20's. A temp of 105°F and feeling like I was going to die really turned me off any sort of chicken unless it didn't smell or taste like chicken. Am okay with it now, but is still far from a favorite and not usually a preference. Have not had KFC since I was a kid and Dad brought home a bucket, which was not very often. Mom did really good fried chicken and gravy. Grandma did the best chicken noodles.

My parents and I used to spend weekends fishing with another couple. They had a cabin on lake Texoma. Memtioned I liked her fried chicken once so she always made it for me. Stopped going there after they put stripers in Texoma. Stripers killed the crappie and sand bass fishing. They even sold their cabin on Texoma because of it.

Here Here! So glad our forefathers risked everything and fought the Brits twice, to be the free nation we are. The land of the free, and home of the brave.

I am doing battle with Germans right now. Well, German engineers. ;)

The power seat adjustment for the lumbar adjustment is not functioning. I pulled the set out and that it fairly easy, but it is heavy. Got it upside down on my Workmate 200 which is the perfect height to hold the seat upside down.

The switch checks out, the motor seems to be the culprit, and it is buried in the seat back somewhere. I am going to hook 12 volts right to it to see if I can get any reaction out of it, and if not see how bad it is to get to. I am about to go cruise over to the tech section to see what others have done.

I hope you prevail, Glen!

We had a brief EQ here just a few minutes ago. I felt a rolling sensation for a little over 5 seconds. All is well. :)

Happy to grow up in USA, Happy Birthday!

Looking back glad I grew up when I did, and feel sorry for the kids today despite video games and the internets.

We were given a couple of bucks, could ride our bike or walk to a fireworks stand buy a grocery bag or more of firecrackers and pop botttle rockets, then go home and have wars with our friends and neighbors throwing and shooting them at each other. Blew up most of the model cars and planes we built the year before and anything else we found. Death to ant hills, especially red ants! Bottle rocket (no report) powered balsa wood 10¢ gliders were great until a bottle rocket with report.

I had separated out a string of 800 black cats and put them in a grocery sack to carry around and light and throw. A pop bottle rocket landed in the bag. I dropped it and ran as the whole bag started going off. It made a fireball about a foot in diameter, the dispersed lit firecrackers out about 20 ft in diameter. It was fantastic. Better than a death star explosion. Left a huge mess of paper. Instead of playing war with fireworks, we tried the rest of the day to replicate it!

Posted the 928 on facebook and was accused of stealing the picture. Ha ha ha.

Yea, when we lived in Hawaii we rode out bikes down to Arakawa's of Waipahu to buy a a lot of fireworks. The 1960s stuff made in China, and with red paper. No government safety standards. They made the standard "Black Cat" look wimpy.

We blew things up for three days straight in our front yard. We had one can that we could get to go higher than the roof of the house. Then New Year's eve hit and we lit a string of firecrackers that was 6 feet tall. The guy across the street light off a string that was hanging from a utility pole and it had to be most of the way to the top. The red firecracker paper was blowing around into drifts, and I crash into one drift while riding my bike and fell in the grass with luck. It took weeks for the red paper to all get cleaned up.

I guess I got it all out of my system. I have not bought any fireworks since. I can just save time and effort and just take a match to money and burn it.

Think I still have two gross of factory sealed black cat bottle rockets from when I was a senior in HS. They are vacuum sealed in ziplocks so they don't dry out. Think there are a couple of M-80s in the box as well.

Grilling is great. I need to do this more often...a lot more often!

Earlier this afternoon, I was walking the dog in the park and I was buzzed by a red hawk. Smart ass bird. A while later, old warbirds were buzzing around the coastal communities, including the one we live in. No good pics unfortunately. :(

Less than 2 hours to fireworks. ‘Murica!
