My day just got better. Now, to figure out why one of the servers has intermittent contact with out DR software. Figure that out and it will be a great day.

it wants $15/hr min wage to play that game.

If it doesn't shape up I will take it out back and shoot it and replace it with something better.

Argh, the other system admin guy is messing with all the permissions. I keep not having access to the things I need done. He needs to make an outline of who needs access to what BEFORE he starts moving people's access around. Everyone started complaining and sending in help tickets. Now nobody in IT has access to see or do anything with the help tickets.

The last system admin guy we had did far less than this kind of stuff and was let go.

Maybe someone should buy them a dictionary of IT terms. Mail server, encryption, permissions, OUs, SSL/TLS, AES256 . . .

The guy that is VP of IT worked for us a long time ago. We were trying to get approval for cat 5 so we could do ethernet. He kept pushing for fiber and Novell.

Doesn't matter if what we had in place, how inexpensive it was or even how well it worked, he has broken it trying to make everything we have like the last company he worked for Whom spent at huge amount on theirs IT budget, they did software solutions not manufacturing. This is the first quarter since he has been hired that our profit based bonus did not make enough profit to pay a bonus. But hey, we are moving everything to the cloud so we don't have to manage servers and upgrading our internet connections to Gigabit.

I have my upholstery guy swinging by this morning. He will take my 911 rear seat to sew on a new tab to hold it up. I have a few spots on the leather interior than can use some dye work after 170,000 miles of use.

The bosse's wife made me drive her to the local big gardening center. She needed 6 big bags of mulch for the flower beds. So of course she wants me to drive the El Camino and haul them home. As a bonus she made me unload them all.

We are supposed to have several days of rain next week. Maybe many inches of rain over 4 days. I guess it is always good to get rain, but I would prefer a nice quiet rain every few nights. Leave the days sunny with mostly clear skies. I guess we don't get to order up perfect weather.

At least the weekend will be nice.

Had that kind of rain here. Cloud burst right over the neighborhood. Got soaked taking the garbage out this morning.

Yea, I will be digging lots more holes in the ground this spring for the bosse's wife. We dug holes in the compost pile the other day to turn it some. It is starting to cook some now that the weather is warmer.

remember call before you dig and do it in this order.
1. 811 just to prolong things.
2. door dash or uber eats for the break.
3. the boss for beer!

One of these days I gotta get my headliner on the cayenne reattached to the roof. It's not too bad yet. Understand the best fix is the entire roof.

The head of our Training Department left today. She has 5GB of email I have to export and upload to archives.
At least for this position the replacement starts Monday.

For our main programmer that left a year ago they finally hired a team in India to replace. Yikes.

No. He is a guy that I have known for years. He used to do the work on the Mercedes at the dealership from his van. Now he is still mostly a mobile van. He just picked up the seat back today because he was busy. I can ask him about your headliner.

He rebuilt my sun visors on the 911 a couple of yeas ago. The old foam was just turning to dust, and every time I touched them I got a face full of foam dust.

It will be nice to have him dye the worn bits of color on the leather seats. If I could get the shift knob off of my 911 I would have a new shift boot made. The original one has worn patches on it. The only way the shift knob is going to come off is by destroying it. I really like it, so it stays.

I might someday have Dave make me a shift knob of wood, but I still want the shift pattern etched in. I am just weird that way.

Would love to get a quote on the headliner. Have gotten quotes of $600 and $400. Can get a new one for the low price of $2500? Don't know why a headliner needs to be the alcatera stuff.

Had my 951 detail once and within 3 days the leather on the shift knob and boot disintegrated. Whatever they put on it made the leather fall apart. They got me a new leather cover.
