It has never moved in the car on extra-legal speeds on the on/off ramps. They have a sticky bottom, almost like a post-it with not residue.

Morning all. Yep less traffic up here so they started racing and triple digit speeding.

I guess having lived the vast majority of my life with no mask, I still fight to remember to have it with me all the time. We each have a two layer mask that has a layer of activated charcoal in a pocket on the inside, and then the mask. That is used most of the time, and Mrs. Carrera washes them fairly often, and we replaced the activated charcoal pad.
I have a plain N95 surgical style mask in the glove compartment of the El Camino. The other day I took the 911 out to dinner and forgot my regular mask. I have a Michelin bandana-handkerchief thing they handed out at Parade one year. I keep in in the 911 just in case I needed it to wipe of my sweaty face at some event. It was folded and in the door pocket. So I made a old style Cowboy face mask. Those cowboys must all have little noses and small heads. I can just get it sort of tied on and my nose is smashed and uncomfortable. It was on long enough to get into the restaurant, and sit down. The good news is evidently Covid only spreads if you are standing up. Once seated at the table it is OK to remove the mask so it must not spread when seated. ;) I guess I need to buy a good stock of face masks, and put a couple in each car. Next up, "they" need to invent a foldable sealed mask we can carry in a wallet that is always with us. |
I keep one by my keys. If I'm driving some place I'll need it when I get there.
|
I keep several in all the vehicles. I even bought a 25 pack of paper ones and tossed a handful in all the cars. That way if I happen to take one in to wash it and forget to replace it I’ve got backups!

Morning all. Thanks goodness for working from home. One of my co-workers just found out his wife tested positive. Now the wait is on.

I ordered some more masks to sprinkle in the various cars as spares.
The next track day is going to be Eagle's Canyon in Decatur Texas. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1616160827.jpg I have these stickers on my 911 now from tracks I have run on. Left to right: Hallett in Oklahoma; Texas World in Fort Worth (closed now); Charlotte Superspeedway in North Carolina; Roebling Road in Georgia, Laguna Secca in California. I ordered new stickers that will all be uniform in size, and I will scrape off those, and start further back on the glass and add in the Indy 500 track in Indiana Indianapolis, and Eagles Canyon after I run it, and Heartland raceway in Topeka, KS later in the year. I have a box of old region stuff from Richard Davis I am going to give to our club historian in a week. That is what in in the back of the 911. |
I just saw a guy in a Macan make a grocery delivery at a neighbor. Made me wonder, as I'm a W2 employee: if I buy a new car and make maybe one Uber eats delivery per week, would I also be able to declare my car expenses as a tax deduction?

The boss's wife made me dig a new hole, and plant our newest tree. It is a Ginkgo tree. It is just 4 feet tall now and grows only 4 to 5 inches a year. It will not be making much shade for a while. Just one more thing to mow around, and use the string trimmer on the border for the tree.
The area she wanted the tree planted is just a few feet from the old pear tree that was destroyed by the ice storm. The ground was FULL of roots, so I would dig some and then cut roots, dig some and cut roots. She has already told me she wants yet another flower bed to connect the flower bed in the middle of the east side of the yard, to the new Holly tree and the Ginko tree. It will be a large flower bed, and a real pain to get that done. |
Morning all.
True a pain but think of all the beer and Porsche rides the boss will let you have as a reward. |
We just bought another cherry tree. Has to go in the ground soon, but it was gusts to 45mph yesterday so forget that.
|
We have had just under 1/2 inch of nice steady slow rain. With some luck we will get more today of the same light rain.
|
We have some rain on and off today. Another not good day of digging holes.
|
Unless it is an in ground pool!

Gee, I received a nice email that my password for Office 365 was going to expire today, and a helpful link to click to change my password. Some nice company that uses Gmail for their email sent me the link. I thought it was really nice of them to make it so easy to change my password.
The weird part is the email was in my spam folder so I had to work extra hard to change that password. |
Sitting in on a security round table right now. I feel a little out of place with some of the people on here.

One thing I finally convinced my MIL of, all email is suspicious. Same for phone calls out of the blue.
She got to waste the time of some scammer that called her home phone, and claimed her Microsoft license had expired, and her computer was sending out spam. He computer was off and had not been on in several days, so she knew it was a BS call. The caller kept wanting her to give him a credit card number, which she was not going to do. I asked he how in the world did Microsoft figure that license of Win 10 was linked to her home phone number. She agreed. |
