good! I'll have it sept up and in a barrel for you.

It is 60 degrees and clear skies here. I am actually hoping for some clouds since we have nothing to fly, and I need to ash my 911. It is filthy from the trip to Hallett in the rain.

With some cloud cover the water does not dry before I want it to.

We have a "car show" in a couple of weeks at Twin Peaks. Mostly we all admire each other's cars, and go inside to admire the scenery and drink a beer and eat a burger. Twin Peaks is a mountain resort themed restaurant. All female waitresses, with mountain guide themed outfits. Only the shorts are very short, and the shirts all have cleavage showing. The good news is they have food way way better than Hooters. Hooters food is always pretty crappy.

Don't tell the boss he will want to come along and then his wife will want to go.............

GH85Carrera 03-15-2021 10:44 AM

She know about it. I keep telling her it is just a wholesome hunting resort themed restaurant. Twin Peaks are just the two mountains in the logo and attribution to any female body parts is not intended or implied.

A 6 foot hole!

Porsche-poor 03-15-2021 01:03 PM

I was thinking more plants but the boss's wife may have other plans.

Before we got married I told Mr.s Carrera I was pre programmed to look at pretty women, and I had done it since puberty. Back when I was 14 or so I figured out the 18 to 30 year old girls were really hot. All these years later I still feel the same way. They all ignored me before and they all ignore me still, but I can enjoy the view. I will look but never touch. Like a dog on a chain, I know how long the chain is. I do work on not drooling or overt ogling.

Porsche-poor 03-16-2021 05:36 AM

Morning all.

And that is why you are still married.

That, and when we met for Jacob's birthday down there she let us know how she would leave no evidence. ;)

Actually, she is a smart, very nice young lady.

Yea, if I ever just vanish from Pelican, please have the police check for any new back yard green house, compost pile, or new patio concrete extension.

This is what my nephew thinks of as fun!

5 feet of snow and burying a snow mobile to the handlebars in the middle of nowhere.

And by the way, I am wearing shorts today! :D

Porsche-poor 03-16-2021 08:40 AM

yeah no thanks. it was at freezing this morning but will warm up.

Noah930 03-16-2021 09:18 AM

You know society's treating COVID like it's over, when everyone starts driving like a-holes again.

Porsche-poor 03-16-2021 09:21 AM

yep that and "let have a party"

GH85Carrera 03-16-2021 12:44 PM

The 911 is all clean and pretty again.

I have a actual GPS that I use for my road trips in the 911. The old one died not long ago, so I upgraded to a new one. It is a little bigger, and lots easier to use.

I don't like windshield mounts, and some states make it illegal. I put together a bracket that uses a ring mount that hugs the clock, and hangs it just under the clock. It made using the cruise control awkward, but not bad. The new one is big enough that the left of the screen was blocked by the steering wheel, and it really in the way of cruise control.

So I modified the bracket with a bracket extension, that moves the GPS over in front of the fresh air controls. I don't need to see the slider knobs, I can operate it by feel if I need to turn on the fresh air or adjust the heater outlets.

It is all painted and tomorrow I will button it up for good.

Porsche-poor 03-17-2021 05:31 AM

Morning all. Off to go do some CAD then who knows what.

GH85Carrera 03-17-2021 05:37 AM

My bracket is going to be rather ugly, and oversized, but it will show me just where I want the GPS to be. I need to design a bracket in Solidworks and have it cut out on a waterjet or laser CNC table to be worthy of the interior of my car when the GPS is not attached. The GPS would cover it up but once the GPS if off, it is kinda ugly. I only use the GPS for road trips, and that is only a few weeks per year at most.

Porsche-poor 03-17-2021 05:59 AM

Then you must not suffer from "I can't seem to find my way out of the driveway"

flipper35 03-17-2021 06:21 AM

We use a weighted dash mount for ours.

GH85Carrera 03-17-2021 06:31 AM

For the 911, the GPS and all other objects need to be solidly attached. My wife seems to believe I might on occasion, possibly, take corners in an um, vigorous manner. For some reason all loose items seem to move around a lot. I think it is just a gravity anomaly that many 911s are afflicted with.

My brother believes the braking forces are often higher than normal. I think they are just confused.
