Rennsport dates have been announced. Any of you guys making the trip? Alarick and I are already talking about going again.
|
nope all my travel plans have been booked and are still on for now unless someone gets sick.
|
It’s not until September 2023! Surely you can pencil it in over a year out!
|
Possibly! I was thinking this year.
|
Where is it for 2023?
I looked it up, back at Laguna Seca. That is a long drive for me. BTDT. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652819509.JPG Second most fun track I have run at. |
Fly out Glen! That’s likely what we will do, or I might drive out and have the family fly out and meet me.
|
Parade for 2023 is in Palm Springs. They want to kill off all the non ac car drivers I think. 120 degrees is gonna be brutal. This year we are going to the Poconos, almost to NY. It should be cool temperature wise.

Yeah more fun with all makes, something new Sunday 8/22 a hillclimb at Laguna Seca. If it were CCW that would be new. :) https://whatsupmonterey.com/events/monterey-car-week/rolex-monterey-motorsports-reunion/430 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652831295.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652831258.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652831320.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1652831332.jpg |

I drove the Targa today to Camarillo. You know summer is around the corner when you can smell the strawberry crop while driving down the highway. Sometimes a leaky-topped 911 is better than a closed roof coupe.
|
Morning all. Off to go play nice for 8 hours.
|
Phew, once again the mean boss's wife drug me away from my computer and air conditioned room to go help her clean the inside of her Macan. We washed it two nights ago, so now it was inside detail time. Got that done. The car is amazing. It looks like new with not one door ding, or scratch. The inside is like new except for a little wrinkling of the driver's seat from normal wear. No discoloration, or marks, just evidence of sitting. There are storage trays under each seat.
She did not even know they were there. I opened them up to wipe the dust out. There was not one speck of litter, just some grass and dirt from shoes on the floor mats that all clean up fine. The dealership emails and texts her regularly wanting to buy it back. No doubt they want her to get a new one. I can't imagine she will want to sell it. It looks and drives like new. |
We flew four sites that are pretty small. It is like cheating when I can process the project in minutes, not days.
They are not huge profit projects, but certainly pay OK. |
Morning all. Windy and wet here yesterday. Lights blinked a few times but didn't go out.
|
Today a 5 hour Tow north through the Los Angles gauntlet to get to Buttonwillow raceway. :)

That rig should suck up some gasoline. Have fun. I wish I was there.
|
Me to! Anywhere but here.
|
Dang, this actually working for a living is almost like work! The little sites process fast. One was done with the final mosaic image in 15 minutes. Lots easier than the 33 hours for the big one to get initial processing only done.
The four sites were all for one client. They wanted us to wait until the grass was nice and green to make a prettier picture to hang on the wall. Then a water line broke right by the front entrance. That caused a large mud hole, now just dirt and no grass. I told them we normally don't edit the reality of the ground, but since it was just a pretty picture for the wall, I used Photoshop and fixed the mud hole, planted grass, and even power washed the parking lot to make it mud free. As least the picture looks that way, just a mud hole in reality. |
So a little electronic bondo?

The have a lot of trees and grass and landscaping to make the place look really nice. We were given the GO to get it flown as everything was green. Then the city water pipe blew. It was not a little leak. At first they said hold off on the flight, then said, GO and we did. Photoshop to the rescue.
It is a tiny little area of a 1.25 square mile campus. No one would except the maintenance department would likely ever notice on the 40x60 print. No no one will know it happened except the people that saw it on the ground. In a few weeks the ground will look just like the picture. |
