Remember helping me solder those two yellow wires last year? Those were coming from the alternator/stator. I peeked under the fairing--they're still intact from the outside, at least.

Taking off fairings at the roadside is a real PITA. Who the F designed it such that there are three different types of fasteners (allen wrench, screwdriver, and 8 mm socket) necessary to remove this stuff?

Yes, I remember. It's not my fault!!! :p

Italians...

Rick V 03-10-2011 12:42 AM

Okay all caught up, congrads Dave.

slodave 03-10-2011 12:51 AM

Thanks, Rick! I'm a happy camper! I finally was able to log as Pilot In Command and of course, land the plane! I still have a ways to go until I am a full fledged pilot, though. :)

Geronimo '74 03-10-2011 12:59 AM

Dave,

You're gonna need a pair of these.;)

slodave 03-10-2011 01:13 AM

Yes! And a cool fighter helmet!

I feel the need.. The need for speed!

Geronimo '74 03-10-2011 01:22 AM

The fighter helmet would make the aviator shades obsolete... :)

Yeah, no.... Not what I had in mind.

Geronimo '74 03-10-2011 01:43 AM

Here you go, I'd buy the shades first though... Might be a while before you really need this one....

Glen, Brian has a Porsche. The Roach 924 was replaced with an 86 944 Turbo that he daily drives.

I drove the Roach around the autocross course before it got killed by that drunk driver just sitting out in front of the house minding it's own business. The 924 was great fun, it felt like you were driving very fast and on the edge in a tight race car even though the times it posted weren't very fast.

GH85Carrera 03-10-2011 04:19 AM

Yea, I forgot about his 944 DD. Doh!

I just remembered he sold his 928.

We gave Brian a entire container of Okra. He said his wife loves it.

Geronimo '74 03-10-2011 05:23 AM

I think I never had Okra before.

GH85Carrera 03-10-2011 06:30 AM

Oh man you are missing a treat. It is good stuff.

It is the best allopolyploid eating I know of.

Most folks around here do the fried version. If ya boil it or pickle it, it will get real slimy.

Husky friend has a BF! I'm in good shape, but I do have a buddy here that would take care of a husky girl if needed...
