i just now got an email stating that the season's first autocross is this sunday. balls.

i'd tell him that an email account is $70 and leave it at that.

I've been feeling kinda crappy these past couple days. I know Dave had a bad day at the autoX on Sunday and felt bad, too, because of it. Then he got that semi-bogus fast driving award just a couple miles from home. (Semi-bogus because while we may have been exceeding the speed limit, so were the majority of cars out there, too. Particularly the ones that passed us on the right within a quarter mile of when the lights came on the patrol car. Partly guilty. Partly Porsche tax.)

You should listen to the kid, Dave.

I have to go back and drive that stretch of the freeway and take notes. Not sure I'm just going to let this one go.

I'm going to downtown on Thursday. I'll be taking notes on the way back.

Wrapping up dinner right now. Here's how the conversation just went:
wife: And no dessert tonight. We already went to Menchie's [local frozen yogurt place] this afternoon.
daughter: And Mommie got a ticket! On her window!
wife: [Palm to forehead and groans. Turns to daughter at the table.] That was supposed to be a secret.
daughter: Daddy, do you want to see it?
wife: No, no, no. Daddy doesn't need to see it.

And then she muttered something else unintelligible under her breath.

At least tickets on windows don't require traffic school! :D

The game is finally over. The last 6.5 min of game time took 42 minutes of my life. Our team lost :(

The little one is now singing herself to sleep. Some song about archaeopteryx. That name's longer than she is tall.

Last night just confirmed why I don't like basket ball. 6.5 minutes of game time for 42 minutes. How boring. If the average player was any good at sinking a free throw the practice of fouling just to stop the shot would stop. It is amazing that the players hit maybe 50% of the free throws. What a stupid game.
