My main computer is covered up with crunching numbers. The CPU is usually at 100% memory only at 60 GB so no problem. Both video cards are running hot and heavy. One video card got up to 140 degrees before the end of one step. It cooled off quickly.

I had to fire up my OLD computer just to get on line and listen to some music.

We are going to a local Clydesdale farm to see his operation. He has a full on Budwiser like team and wagon.

Even if they're pulling a sleigh through waist deep snow?

Big horsey! He stands 6'2 inches to his shoulders. They have two teams of horses, and they were in the Rose Bowl parade, Calgary Stampede, and all over the country. It is all the Express ranch. The barm was built in 1933 and is on the Chisholm trail. It was in rather sad shape when Bob Funk bought it, and he hired some old school repair folks to rehab it, and modernize it.

Pretty cool place. Bib big money deep pockets type of operation. Express personnel is based in the Oklahoma City area.

The owner of the horse that just won the Kentucky Derby lives in Edmond, OK a suburb of OKC.

My main computer is churning away. It has gotten up to using 168 GM of the 256 Gig of available RAM. The CPU is pegged at 100% usage, and the two video cards are running warm. So is my office. That computer when under a performance load puts out some heat. I had to fire up the old computer to read the paper and get on line. It puts out some heat, but not like the big boy.

It is working on a 36 square mile project at a 2 inch pixel resolution. It will not be done for another 20 hours or so. Damn slow computer

Yea, I have four large battery powered UPS and I can run for almost an hour with no power if necessary.

It is a beautiful day today, low winds 75 degrees and clear skies, so really low chance of a power problem.

One UPS runs the cable modem and router, so my internet is all on backup power. It runs one monitor, and the speaker power and other small things in an office like the Gigabit switch.

One UPS has just the big computer on it. One has the other computer, and my main monitor on it. I have one just for the TV and he DVR and one small gigabit switch for the security system DVR.

Power and cable are all above ground here so when one goes the other goes with it. No UPS can fix that.

Retired so... garden, race, repeat.
I've been drenching my plumerias with triple 20 twice a month to help them leaf.
Soon I'll switch to 10/50/10 to encourage flowering.

8 new Jongbloed wheels and Goodyear slicks, race next weekend at Buttonwillow with VARA.

Glen glad your Plumeria has survived the cold winter and brought your flowers so early.
Reminds me of a garden in Nor Cal cold climate and the center piece was a bunch of Jade, which grows like a weed in our warmer climate.
We can't do fish, its a food dish for our Racoons and white herrings.

We had some Great Blue Herons come have a very expensive meal a couple of times. Now we have a circle of copper posts around the pond, and monofilament fishing line strung in a pattern over the pond. It is what the Japanese Koi farmers use and it has worked for years now. The fish have lots of hidey-holes along the rocks and under the waterfall. The theory is the cranes and herons see the lines and are think their wings might be caught in it. Whatever the theory, it seems to work.

The copper posts blend in well now with a patina on them. They were grounding posts from the electrical department at the local big box store.

By federal law it is illegal to harass the Blue Heron or any migratory bird, even if they are eating our pricey Koi. So I just made sure the dogs saw the heron, and it was astonishing to see that huge bird fly off almost straight up. Our dachshund was proud he had chased off another monster in the back yard. Our yard if free of all polar bears, lions, tigers, and elephants as well.

The point cloud for the flight is almost done. 148,946,924 points. Each point has a RGB value (normal color) and it has the precise X, Y and Z value of where on the planet it is.

The memory usage is going up. 218 GB and rising. It is nice to know that it all works!

The point cloud is up to 1,061,755,682 points. I am just glad I don't have to count them to verify the count.

Hey all. Ted, those rims look great.

In the 90s here now, sunny and humid. Kids have a shooting competition this weekend for the WI regionals.

We have a UPS on the internet stuff and all the main computers. They are only 600VA so the computers don't stay up a long time, but it is enough to shut them down properly and we can still watch the weather on the TV downstairs for a good long time. We seldom have power issues here though.

Whoa. Popped in for the first time in months and there’s plumeria!

Ours are going good this year, the divine is blooming like crazy and the larger of the others is pushing up two inflos. Our hibiscus and bananas are growing well too, it’s a tropical paradise in our yard! 🤣

Our plumeria is one stem from one my parents brought back from Hawaii long ago. My parents had a green house and it went outside every summer. It was hacked back to keep it manageable size wise. Then in about 2005 my brother took a hunk back to Alabama with him. Last year when we drove down there for a week he gave my wife a piece of that same one.

In Hawaii we had plumeria trees that were big enough to make multiple leis when relatives came to visit.

My computer spit of a big ol tiff file after 30 hours of cogitating. Just 23,314,202.KB. That will be fun to work with.
