I need to get an M1078 picked up, it's a Duce and a half, I have a guy contracted but he doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy and if it isn't picked up by friday the government will consider it abandoned and the money paid will be fore fitted. It can't be driven out without tags and insurance and ya can't get tags until the army generates a title for it.

Does the army say it can't be driven out without tags and insurance or is that the state. In ga, you have either 48 or 72 hours from possession to apply for a tag and your standard liability insurance should cover freshly acquired vehicles for an even longer period of time

The Army. I can get a three day permit to drive it but I am not about to try that, there is no telling if this thing is worthy of a trip all the way to Va yet.

With the 1078, it could be perfectly reliable or a complete pita......the army really does a nice job with maintenance schedules, but the desert is harsh on everything

and the CTIS is hard on a stock factory air compressor, I don't really need to be having to plumb an onboard cig lighter air compressor to keep the brakes unlocked and pray I don't get hung in traffic on 85, forget 29. It isn't worth the effort.

Thanks Pete, like I said I am just trying to make sure I can get this thing out of Atlanta on time, before it goes back. I will call my driver tomorrow and make sure he is still going to play ball.

I did that to my S and I had a vibration about 4,800 rpm and at those revs I am usually just going to pass through it and go on

i have done that job at least 20 times and i've NEVER had the balance shaft belt slip. i think i am going to pull the belt and check for damage. the damn thing has maybe 1000 miles on it.

Never had a balance shaft problem that I noticed on either of my 951s.

Motor mounts?
