Good Morning

or not depending on your situation and point of view.

Friend of mine had sleep apnea so bad he broke his arm when he fell asleep walking down the sidewalk in the middle of the day. Sleep study showed he was only rem sleeping 2 minutes a night and stopped breathing 400 times. It was due to snoring. He wears one of those CPAP air pumps to sleep. Says it changed his life majorly for the better.

Back when I was in high school my English teacher assigned us to read Ivanhoe. I swear that book would put to to sleep with just one sentence while walking down the hall at school. Sleep apnea had not been been invented or discovered or they would have thought I had it. It was the most painful book ever to try to read. I finally went to the library on base and checked out a book about the book. It was at least something I could read and not fall asleep instantly. I managed to convince my teacher I read it.

If I ever get insomnia, I will get a copy of Ivanhoe.

Good Monday morning everyone. There is white crap on the ground. It was pretty minor on the trip in to work. More is coming. It is supposed to be maybe one to two inches. It will be just like Boston. Well, maybe not quite.

Have you pulled the pulleys off and checked the keys and keyways? Possible one of them is allowing the pulley to shift a bit?

Hoping the roads are cleared when I get there. My folks left a car for me in Yukon, so I will Uber it from the airport to there, and then drive the rest of the way home.

We had a light dusting over the weekend. Got the car washed yesterday so it is clean again. Was -6* on the way to work though.

The weather people say we average about 100" of snow here, but we have had winters with hardly any snow and a few years ago we had over 150" of snow. Our driveway looked like this:

Joe, next time we vacation that way I am bringing a case of 5.56 to go play with you at the range.

Rick, are you getting a playmate for Peggy?

I hate Mondays at work. I also hate when people pull out in front of you and poke along and then when you pass they hang about 3' off your bumper like they are annoyed they can't be in front. Maybe I just hate people.

Jim, can you have the pilots swing north a bit and drag some of the better weather through our area next time you fly back? Coastal weather, not that desert stuff. I have had enough of that stuff.

Thanks, we are about 30* below normal right now.

A friend of mine is a DBA for a company out in Hollywood and his mom was out visiting. She said the weather was great. I teased her that I didn't know she made it out since she didn't come back tanned and blonde.

Oh cuteness, puppy catching snow flakes. Tried to video but the flakes are too small to show up. Just looks like puppy has some sort of disorder.

Morning

Less than two weeks and I'll be having another practice at retirement. Thinking of extending the original four weeks by another couple of weeks. I really need a break from these arseclowns.

Little things are starting to really pi55 me off - last week I noticed my super plan has my salary incorrect (hasn't been updated since Aug13). I logged a call with HR - please have this corrected. I get a reply yesterday with a convoluted explanation of how my super salary is calculated. That's great, but that's not what I asked ya bonehead. Gotta ring some other HR overhead today (who was on leave yesterday) and try and explain the problem in more simpler terms, as 'my super salary is incorrect, please have this rectified' is too difficult to understand.

Hehe, and it's still not enough to permanently retire.
