Weeeeee.

The great luck for Glen continues.

The IRS sent me a love letter, and I won the lucky lottery! They decided to "review" the tax returns because of a random selection. Golly what luck. I really don't have a thing to worry about, I don't do any silly stuff with taxes. Just a pain to deal with. Wheeeee. Whooooo Hooooo.

I figure cussing and crying will not help one iota so may as well be happy about it.

Made it back in one piece

First time I used the NAV on the Turbo.
Used it to map the quickest route to the hospital and tell us when we would get there. Worked great.
There were several destinations saved, all in Gainesville, FL. Where I got it from.

Also the first time I've driven it over 80mph. Despite my reputation. The Speed Limit Warning was set at 80mph. Pretty funny. Beeps a couple of times and puts a white circle with 80mph in it and a red circle border with a red slash thru it in the middle of the dash display. Says Speed Limit Exceeded under it. Set the cruise on 78 and it only set off the warning a couple of times all way back from Tulsa.

Must have really pissed Bob off last week. Tom was the one that asked me to take him to see Bob otherwise I wouldn't have known Bob was in the hospital. While we were there Bob never acknowledged that I was even there and only talked to Tom. Totally ignored me. Bob was kinda drugged up so after a while Tom and I started having some fun with it. Tom would start a sentence then have me finish it. Then we watched Bob try to figure out how to answer Tom without talking about anything I said. Doesn't that sound like something brothers would do. We bet Bob wouldn't even remember me being there. Tom said he is just waiting for Bob to start saying the I won't talk to him like he says about his two boys now.

Last week Bob sent us a link to a two hour ET whistle blower video. All he said about it was that it was really important and we really needed to watch it. Later he asked me if I had watched it. I said no, didn't have time. Then he went of on a tirade about how there were cures for my diabetes and i needed to be more trusting of things on the internet.

The next day Tom replied to myself and Bob saying he had watched the entire video and it was a bunch of made up imaginary BS and to show him just one shreed of evidence to prove anything they said.

The next day Bob sent a message to us telling how the two guys in the video were experts and proven to be telling the truth. That day I also started getting diabetes spam to both my work and private emails. Lots of them. When Bob send an email to me he sends it to both my work and personal accounts. And he is the ONLY one that does.

Tom sent another email saying that just saying anyone is telling the truth is not evidence, to show him some evidence.

I kinda went off. I sent a message saying that I understand the Bob's faith is based on ETs, and that Tom's faith is based on the Bible (Tom is an extreme fundamentalist). And that in the bible it describes religions as different ways people are introduced to and keep their faith. And what is said is you should not argue religions or doctrines or you will cause the weak in faith to lose it. That tells me it don't matter what you believe in as long as you believe in something. And that my God is so big He likes to be worshipped and believed in all different kinds of ways. And for the fundamentalist view of the devil and evil, it does say that the evil a created for the day of evil.

And as far as all this ET whistle blower stuff goes...Bob, you can believe and spend your time on whatever you want. But even if all that stuff the whistleblowers say is 100% true, it doesn't affect my day to day life and me being able to meet my needs right now. Sure, if they come out an announce ETs are real and here is free energy and the cure for everything, it would change my future after that. But until that time learning about and talking about what MIGHT happen does not pay my bills or put food on my table.

And if you do ANY googling on all the so-called diabetic cures you will find they all recommend both a diet very low in carbs AND buying their pill. And in small print, their pill does not work unless you follow the diet. And most of today's diabetics eat too many carbs and the diets make a huge difference in their life, but does not actually cure them.

He hasn't spoken to me since.

Oh and I used the private brower setting on my Mac to check a couple of those diabetes links he signed me up for. They try to pull the email settings from the browsers autofill (empty on private) and try to download malware (useless on my Mac especially when set to not even let a sight save cookies).

Richard, the speed limit is 75 on the Turnpike so 80 is slower than the average driver. I would never believe you are impeding traffic.

I heard they are starting yet another big project on the Turner Turnpike. In the 40 years I have lived in Oklahoma I have only made one round trip up to Tulsa and NOT come upon construction. Kinda like driving to Dallas. There is always construction between here and Norman, and tons more on the way to Dallas.

My theory is that two brothers have been doing the work for the last 40 years and they take a lot of time off to have vacations. That is the only way it could take 40 years of construction from here to Norman.

Hey it ain't Monday!

Yep there were stretches along the turnpike that were 5 miles of 65 then 5 miles of 50 repeating for 40 miles, and they were resurfacing at least a foot deep. Brother said he didn't think he remembered so much contruction or it actually needing it on the turnpike. On the way back there were a lot of the new Highway Patrol Chargers parked at the beginning of the construction zones being worked with all their lights on. Besides the lights they had the HPO flag on the door.

Believe it or not with my cruise set on 78, I was passed very infrequently and passed many, including a lot of trucks. Maybe it was all the construction 65 zones

My driving must have not been too bad, Brother Tom kept falling asleep. Or maybe that is a destressing habit he has learned from letting his wife drive?

The taking Dad to visit his roots part sounds good. The one last time part not so much.

The last time I took my Dad fishing we only had a canoe. The son of a gun dumped us over in the middle of the huge pond we were fishing and lost all our fishing tackle. If the stringer hadn't been tied to the canoe we would have lost our catch. Had to swim the canoe with my Dad holding on to the closest bank. Build a fire to warm him back up. Then while he was warming paddle the canoe back to where my 4x4 was parked and 4x4 around to fetch him up. He wasn't getting back in that @$#! death trap were his words.

My nephew and I thought we were giving him an opportunity to have some fun since he loved fishing. Usually from boats on lakes and ponds. And we did catch quite a stringer full before he tumped us into the drink. The big pond was well stocked with bass and crappie. We did have a good ol fashion fresh fish fry for dinner when we got home.

Think Dad enjoyed it and may have dumped the canoe on purpose. It was just too bad about not being able to retrieve the rods and tackle. My nephew and I tried. Too deep to dive and couldn't snag any of it. We quit trying when we snagged up a big ol snappin turtle.

at 84 I'm not sure how many more plane trips he has in him. As it is the TSA thing will be a pain in the neck to get him thru.

Put him in a wheelchair. You get great service that way. He might not like it, but it makes getting him around. My mom had to have a walker to get around when she was last traveling. The wheelchair helped a lot.

You can't take anything on a plane any longer. It wouldn't surprise me if they make everyone fly naked in the near future and get it all over with.

El Al never has any of the same issues the TSA has. Hmm.

Have SloDave fly you down!

Do you think there are nudist charters for planes, or just busses? Or maybe Cruises?

People might get hurt by the sharp pointy things on a nudist cruise to Alaska.

If I were going on a nudist plane charter that required a TSA inspection, I would demand the TSA agent be nude as well. Just on principle of the nudist colony thing.

Oh boy, I just got a recorded call from the IRS saying I needed to call them because there is evidence of fraud on my tax return. Supposed to call them back immediately. Didn't provide my name or anything. Besides, thought the IRS always contacted you via USPS. Think I should call the number? Wonder if they want me to pay them in Target gift cards.

I had the fake IRS calls several times. I even got one from a live human that claimed he was a county sheriff and I missed my jury duty. They had a warrant for my arrest and would come get me if I did not pay up. I told him to bring it on. I will make the Waco Texas raid look like a kindergarten school party. The suckers never showed up.

Mertnin. Looks like MTSDD. More of The Same Different Day.

There is one good thing...
The Wednesday IT Departmental Meeting was cancelled this morning.
Don't have to drive into the Office to attend a 30 minute meeting.
Last week I didn't get back home until noon.
