*** Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? ***
Elk - 10 of them, that's who!
Dinner time, July 30th. 97 degrees out. The Elk are usually in the high country when it's this warm. Maybe the Cow wants to keep the calves around? Was a total of 10, but some (including the 5-point bull) went into hiding by the time the camera came out. Notice the spots on the calves, they sure grow up fast...... ![]()

You haven't massacred them with an automatic weapon yet?
What, are you a communist or something? You are going to get your PPOT Man Card revoked if you don't watch it, mister. |

Good advise - Especially don't mess with the calves when cows are present.

Get off my lawn!
|
A customer of our works as a game warden in Oklahoma. He told about a guy that came to the main office and asked that they verify is record huge deer. The wildlife folks took one look and got the handcuffs out. It was an elk that was from the Wichita Mountains National Park. The dumbass hunter had killed an elk on federal property and thought it was a deer.

Okay, Bob, I've had enough of being too busy lately. I'm going to take a day off and go hiking in the Cascades THIS WEEK.
I don't care if I ever eat elk meat again. Grew up on the stuff. It was a treat to get beef when I was a kid. |

Dan - Gimme a call if in the Cle Elum area(425-765-7003) and you have a little extra time. I know what you mean growing up with certain food. I was raised on a farm, meat, veggies and potatoes every day. To me, a sandwich is a treat.

Oh hell Joe, why not just go for the Barrett?
That way you don't have to worry about shoulder blade deflections, trees in the way, or any cars that might happen to drive between you and your target. Accurate up to two miles, and if you use an incendiary round, it might even be cooked by the time you hike out to it!

I think we should all be issued a virtual Mancard on PPOT with a system in place that allows for a voting of other members for revocation. Time dependent of course.
