Do you keep a loaded gun in your house ?

I have been told by "some" people that only (not normal) or crazy people keep a loaded gun in the house.
I disagree.
Please post a yes or no .
Thanx !

I don't.

You have to pull back the slide.

I always thought of "loaded" as: "when you pull the trigger, it goes boom!"

you said gun, so I guess that means just one??

I keep a couple of mine loaded, but it is always much more satisfying to beat intruders with your bare hands or with a traditional Okinawan or Chinese weapon

the ultimate would be to kill an intruder with a fan...

(or a feather duster - for anyone who has seen the new Wing Chun movie - not yet released outside China)

I prefer to kill intruders with their own pinkie. (Venture Brothers reference.)

I've got a loaded gun in the safe downstairs and a loaded gun in a Gun Vault upstairs. Plus a loaded 12 gauge upstairs. All secure from curious little hands but accessible to my wife and I.

Loaded means it has bullets in it.

I've often wondered what a cop would say if he responded to a call at my place and found the intruder with one of my Tomahawks or my spear imbedded in the guy's skull...

For this "poll" I do not care about the reason you might have a loaded weapon...Just want to know how "crazy" I am compared to the rest of the people here .
Thanx !

Do you keep your car in the garage without gas in the tank?

Do you keep your smoke alarm in a drawer without batteries in it?

I keep my clip full but not in the gun. So not loaded but easily loaded.

Why would this make one not normal ?

I store my gun with an empty mag, but I keep three loaded mags in the case with it. Technically not loaded, I suppose, but close enough for me so I'm voting yes.

I keep two loaded pistols in the bedside pistol safe. I'm likely the only one of our Portland social circle to do so, just as I was in Berkeley. I don't care who thinks what about it. But I don't advertise it either.
