Eh...take 'em to DisneyLand during the re-model. They'll forget all about it in a few days.

topic came up at work yesterday. i was over at co-worker's RAY's home. hanging in a great SF neighborhood, sipping good beer with the neighbors. asian dude comes over. he bought a home 4 doors down, 2 years ago. he asks, "have you seen any intruders in my backyard?" apparently, someone had been moving his potted plants around. Ray said, "maybe it is mr meeks" "WHAT?", ray continues..."yea, mr meeks died in that house." asian dude freaks, start yammering about sueing the real estate company...yada yada yada...he then squats down, puts his face into his hands, and complete silence. after awhile he lets out a muffled baby sound, gets up, and says, "we need to move..my wife is going to yell". all the neighbors were stunned until i explained the chinese superstitions. i asked ray, why he even said anything. he replied, look at all the mexicans living here, it it wasnt going to be me, it would have been another hispanic blabber mouth. beer was good. we talked about making ghost noises so maybe i could buy the home cheap.

the dude freaked! so i asked some co-workers. apparently, killing someone, is the worst ju-ju.

LOL.

Wow. That's a good idea. I'll have to remember this during negotiations of my next purchase when the seller doesn't want to budge.

Sad, but true. You'll also have to attempt to retreat first, too. :( Pathetic.

flatbutt 08-13-2009 11:29 AM

I honestly don't know. I will absolutely defend my home, with lethal force if necessary. But killing someone has got to be intense , even a lowlife, crackhead scumbag. So I really don't know.

Deschodt 08-13-2009 11:51 AM

I'd move, but mostly "just in case" he's got a friend, family member, anybody with a grudge that may come for a revisit... Not worth risking my family over that... Would be a hard sell, I imagine, especially with my nosy neighbor who probably would tell all prospective buyers right after "hello"...

man this has been a good read/laugh!

me................since despite a poo poo economy and living in the same house for a billion years and never being able to afford another in this zip code .............heres what i would do.

1) call the cops after benelli M-2/REM 870 takes care of bizzness.

2) call my lawyer and take pictures(alot)

3) call crime scene cleanup

4) MEASURE BUCKSHOT PATTERNS

5) MEASURE SLUG PATTERNS

6) if above FEDERAL LOW RECOIL OO BUCK(LEO-APPROVED) and FEDERAL LOW RECOIL-(LEO APPROVED)......................

PATTERNS WERE NOT WITHIN VANG COMPS GUARANTEED PATTERN TOLERANCE SPECS...............

i would return both M-2/REM 870 to VANG COMP and politely ask them to look at the pattern pictures i have taken AND SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO ABOUT 'TIGHTENING UP MY GROUPS!"

if some drunk idiot flying down yer road hits a soccer mommy van full of kids, flips both vehicles and bodies laying dead all over yer yard..........would you sell yer house because of someones dumbass bahavior??????????

i dont think so! i gots almost 25 years of crap stored here. what a PITA MOVING!

HardDrive 08-13-2009 01:09 PM

I don't care about ghosts, but I would be a little concerned about the scumbags brother showing up looking for revenge. Would I move because of ghosts or some such rubbish? No. Because its rubbish.

vash 08-13-2009 01:10 PM

killing someone is a heavy burden...it would be tough.

And just think how much fun it would be to list your house for sale. Not only would the death probably have to be disclosed by the listing agent (depending on the state), but the deceased's cohorts could easily pose as buyers, contact the listing agent and get in to case your house. And if your story had been in the papers, you'd be even more liekly to have foot traffic when you list it for sale, but maybe not for all the right reasons.

I was in a friend's house after a gruesome axe murder (the real story behind the movie "Murder In A Small Town") and you could see where they had replaced part of the floor because of the axe blows. I couldn't help but to look around for more evidence of missed spots.

OK rick you GOTTA tell us the story surrounding your last post.

Good to know. I'm gonna' find some Asian guys and start poltergeisting them, then just "happen" to offer them $0.40 on the dollar cash to take the place off their hands. Heh heh heh.

This has all the makings of a really great racket.

The Gores were family friends. I drove by that house just the past April. Was last in there when I was about 11.
