Two things spring to mind, (although I wasn't there): New M3= 400+hp and world-beating suspension, with equal drivers it would be a match for a new 997 GT3. Also, my old car is not going anywhere near its limits even w/ street tires. It doesn't even seem to be sliding.

You know that old saying?

"If it handles like it's on rails, you're not going fast enough..."

Yes.

The 996 was just following me to take the video.
A few laps later he took off!

My Ford is just some beater that I entertain myself with while I'm doing something to the 914.

When I was driving the 996, I had the tires howling.
It was a real handful at the limit. ( I exceeded it once )

You let youself get pwn3d by an M3?

Geez, that's sad. M3's are like dingleberries around here - every azzhole has one (or two). Now go get some R compounds and whip some pretty boy Beemer azz the way it should be done.

M3s are pretty capable cars in the right hands...

Dominated LeMans and all, but of course they're just dingleberries.

Ever noticed how you can get lap times from the digital picures?

If you want to hang with an M3 you need a 5.0 Mustang.

what group were you running with/instructing for? It's been about a year since I have driven that track, so maybe next time you are instructing you can give me a heads up and I'll come out and drive.

You could teach me how to not get passed by clapped out old Ford Escorts

I run with Trackmasters and Hooked on Driving.

The season is wrapping up ,but there a few dates left until next year.

I'd be happy to help out on track.
My 914 is back in action, too.

Cool, I've run with both groups, but I think it was a HOD event where you passed me while I was driving my little red E30 325is.

See you out there next spring!
