So, what is the recommended pistol for an evening out in a bar?

Anyone dumb enough to carry in the waistband of a pair of sweatpants while drinking in a club is more than capable of having an AD with any pistol. I wouldn't trust him with a revolver or a Kahr.

My smith and wesson, for instance, has a long DA pull and a manual safety (and a firing pin and a magazine safety). You could safely carry that in a waistband. It would still be STUPID, but you would not shoot yourself at least.

90% of the reason for the accident is stupidity. The other 10% is Glock.

Never underestimate people who do dumb things. I'm sure this sharpshooter could figure out a way to AD your S&W.

LOL, you are right about the ability of morons to find a way to screw up anything. I know a guy that had an AD with a S&W 915 with all kinds of safeties. Whoopsies.
