My Mind Is Going. I Can Feel It.

Wow, I am so mentally checked out at work. Hardly any new ideas, just doing maintenance on existing ones.

I was working really hard and getting good results in the winter/spring. Then went mentally flat early in the summer. Went camping, came back revved up and had another good run. Now I am like a flat tire again. Leaving for a week in Tahoe soon. Hoping I can air up again for the year-end sprint.

"I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you."

John;

Don't take this wrong, please. You and I have been on the opposite sides of a number of discussions (me recently being called a$$wipe, and then there was the carpool lane discussions, haha). I have a theory about the purposefullness of a$$wipe, it being a decidedly dirtier world without it, and I HAVE been called more useless names in my life.

I can usually sense when things are wrapped too tightly in your world from the tone and tenet of your posts. I used to color them by seing that you went from Bezerkeley to Oregon.

I do take the things you call me to heart. I usually figure 'there goes someone with troubles bigger than mine....'

Enjoy Tahoe, we'll all expect a rested relaxed, reset JYL when you come back.

Michael.

Oh, I wasn't referring to you as the "asswipe", I was thinking of a different poster. I chose not to name anyone in that post and I won't now, but I'll PM you. Sorry if you took it as directed to you. That refers to the cars for clunkers discussion. I don't recall the carpool lane discussion.

Me too. There is definitely something going around...

On a slightly different note, I recently bought a BluRay player and got 2001: A Space Odyssey. Man...that movie looks even more amazing in Hi Def.

John;

I probably was the wipe, anyway.

I hope at least I got you to chuckle.

Like I said, enjoy Tahoe, it's a great place to push the reset button.

Spending a week in a lakeside cabin on So Lake Tahoe, gated community and private beach, bringing our sea kayaks and my flyrod, will be with a bunch of our good friends, half of them are French so much emphasis on the food and wine. Hoping that fixes the mental flat.

"hookers and blow", I don't understand what that is. You mean hooking trout on a windy day? I am an innocent spirit.

I have been called every name in the book at one time or another on this very Board. I don't give a rats azz what you call me, so long as it isn't late for a buffet.
