my wrecked spyder, with pictures

i posted this on spyderclub. the photos would not load so i will put them here.
here is a link to the story of what happened......
http://www.spyderclub.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=12071

pictures,
point of impact, she ran stop sign on right, didn't even slow down. said she never saw me.

her car, at rest.

i missed all but the last ten inches of her car.

the rock and stand of trees that i was lucky enough to miss [except the last two trees.]

alright, now the pictures of my poor car.

now i get to wait until tuesday to see what happens next.
the accident was all over in seconds, i wonder how long this next part will take to get her back on the road?

i was very lucky for the first part, i hope my luck holds.
be careful out there.
david

Wow.

Good work on the milliseconds of braking. Otherwise that would have been much worse for both of you.

So sorry you had the accident!
It sounds as if you are ok... thank God for that!

There is something sadly artistic in in the photo of the hood with the flowers and the bent name plate..... Or maybe I'm just a bit morbid today. :-(

Good luck fixin' her up!

A Beck Spyder, fully replaceable. Great news that you were not injured or killed, those cars do not have much crash protection. Eerily reminiscent of a certain famous crash, oof course.

She was found in the wrong and ticketed right? If so it'll help with the insurance battle I'm sure is to come.....
Glad you're ok, the car can be fixed......
Was she on her phone? Local? Seems she had to have been "distracted" to miss an obvious intersection like that....

Again.....glad everyone is ok....

The car can be replaced. Get some rest and take a few days off to enjoy life.

SHYEEEET David! Man I'm really glad you're OK!

I would have gotten out of the car and stomped her as$...

You're quick on-the-brakes probably saved your bacon my friend. You'd have taken a center punch otherwise and wouldn't be posting pictures right now...

With the insurance company - take your time, settle slow. They aren't "good" with kit cars and it takes patience and documentation to gain an effective settlement.

Also, not to sound like a Mom, but I really think you should have a doctor exam next week. I suspect you'll be feeling the pain by Monday. Soft tissue damage sucks.

hi angela, glad to hear from you.
i am very happy to still be up and around today , you are probably right about seeing the doc. my only complaints so far are two bruised toes on my left foot, my right elbow hurts a bit when i lean on it and a general achy stiffness from the small of my back through the shoulders up into my neck. i have avoided any pain meds so far so as to see where and how i am feeling stuff in general.

i actually am surprised at myself for not going off on the woman who hit me. maybe i am getting old.

again, many thanks to everyone for the good thoughts.

Sorry to hear. Here's hoping you can either get that car fixed up or get another out of this mess. Most important thing is nobody was hurt or killed. Sorry for your loss, but as they say, when life hands you lemons...
