I sent a letter to ConAgra this afternoon. I'll post the response when I get it.

EDIT: Nothing else triggers the reaction. Very strange.

Update.

ConAgra emailed us and asked to call them. My wife did that today. They thanked her for letting them know but it sounds as if they can't change anything with the product.

They are sending us a check to cover medical costs and gas for the docotr visit. My wife insisted that we didn't want anything but they insisted right back that it is what they've elected to do in our situation. I guess that's pretty cool of them.

At least they responded.

Good to hear how responsive they were

Yeah, but they should know there is a problem and may be able to tell you what the secret ingredient is. My money is on preservatives causing this.

Mr Bradshaw, tomatoes were thought to be poisonous.

I would probably disagree...there is no question that people have severe allergic reactions. Even someone like me who is not allergic to anything will have burning, rashed hands from handling raw tomato guts for too long. Something like a tomato doesn't just *happen* be be declared poisonous one day, because someone decided so.

My great great grandfather got killed by a tomato. It was tragic - happened just 3 weeks before it was discovered that you cold eat them.

Mr Bradshaw, that is the acid in them that does that, the poison thing was superstition.
