"sport" trucks

what could possibly go wrong

Dodge SRT-10 Burnout and Roll-Over Crash*Video

some language in the video, you might not want to play it at work.

The guy shooting the video is as good with the camera as his buddy is a driver..

"What just happened dude?"

I'll tell you what happened - you're an idiot pretending that a high center-of-gravity, unstable vehicle is a sports car and it got the best of you.

Nearly a Darwin award, far as I'm concerned.

I bet that burnout impressed the hell out of all the girls around. Oh wait...

To be fair, I think he could have done that in just about any car. He didn't roll the car on the road, it rolled once it went off the road and into the ditch.

The fact it was a pickup truck with a Dodge Viper drivetrain probably didn't help. True that someone adequately stupid enough can crash/destroy anything, but I'd say based on how the guy (both of them) were acting in that video, they probably got what they had coming.

Lucky he didn't get killed. For him anyway - probably not the gene pool in general.

I'd feel the same way if he'd been in a Mustang or Corvette or Porsche. Idiots bent on treating cars as "vehicular penis enhancers" never cease to amaze me with their public displays of stupidity.

Aw come on , lighten up a little porsche o phile. You mean you have never felt the urge to melt a set off? It was almost a rite of passage when I was growing up, only we didn't have hi tech video cameras to remember it by, just two large black patches on the pavement the next morning. What else are high horsepower american cars good for anyway??

Mistake #1: Performing hooligan maneuvers on a narrow stretch of road with no safe run-off.
Mistake #2: Underestimating the effects / change in grip those asphalt patches can have.

Yea, stupid.

Sorry I guess I'm just grouchy today. They look way too inexperienced/stupid to be playing with that much power though.

I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall for the insurance company claim though - I'm sure that phone call was UBER entertaining.

The driver is a 100% moron. I would love to find out if his insurance company has seen this video.

+1.

Weight transfer can be a terrible thing, especially on a truck where 75% of the weight is on the front axles to begin with...

so how exactly would that play out? If the insurance company did see the video would they still pay? Essentialy, does auto insurance cover stupidity, sorry freak accidents?

I know that on a track I have 0 insurance but what about random craziness on the road.

I think you've got 2 possibilities.

1 They pay and then drop you forever

2 They tell you to piss off.
