Not the fastest I have ever been but a very cool ride. A customer of mine, a former rally driver, took me for a short trip and showed me what it could do on an on and off ramp. I was then asked if I wanted to drive. I said no - I'm an idiot.

fastest car i've ridden in was my fathers friend's HEAVILY modified miata. he took me through the turns and had me grabbing for the door. The thing was just barely street legal.
Fastest ive driven was my old bmw 325i convertible. had it going 145 on the freeway. |
I did a 148 mph average around Daytona at the Petty Nascar driver wanna-be school. I don't know how fast that makes me going down the straights. Seemed like I was going 200 lol!! I also did a hot lap ride a long that was WAYYYYY faster.

A "T-Bucket" with a 6-71 huffed; 427 full roller big block Chevy. Motor most likely made @ 750HP and weight was @1900 lbs - This was a street car by the way. One of the few times I was actually terrified in a car..................

Rider:
150mph in a Carrera GT at Mid-Ohio 242kph in a 964RSR at Mid-Ohio 150mph in a GT3 at VIR Driver: 135mph in my 911 at Watkins Glen and VIR |
The quickest car I've ever driven is my friend's 1968 Dodge Coronet. It makes about 700hp from a stroked 440 running a 6-71 blower. Best time in the 1/4 mile was mid-9's at over 140mph. Eerily similar to my Suzuki Hayabusa!

Techincally, the fastest car I've driven is my FIL's 996 turbo. Although I probably only hit about 80 in it. The fastest I've actually driven has been around 120 in my 911. The fastest I've ever gone was 140+-, as a passenger on my friends Ninja 900r.

Recently: 174mph (280 km/h) in my new to me 964 Coupe (yeah, its got a performance chip and breathes freely)
Regularly: 152mph (245 km/h) in my old 3.2 Carrera Its getting tougher on the Autobahn all the time, even if you can find a stretch that's not under construction at 3 a.m. I will be at the Salzburgring on October 12th though. We'll see how the 964 does... |
Everyone should have their own Mulsanne... (wait, if wishing big, may as well go for the gold)
Everyone needs their own Le Mans, Laguna Seca, Monza, Nurburgring, < insert favorite track here >!! |
quickest was father in laws 327 t-bucket. scared the living **** out of me. i WANTED to get out of the car.
fastest i've driven was probably pushing 110 or so in a '70S a couple years ago. not impressive, i know. i just don't have the desire to push BIG speed on public roads. too many bad things can happen to somebody besides myself. |

Driven 110+ plus in a '90 vw corrado and have buried the 85 mph speedo in the 911 many times. Ridden: LOTS of muscle cars in the 60's ~ 70's. |
I've been told that the Bullitt Mustang is electronically limited to a top speed of 151. I don't think I'm going to test that. Besides, that's slower than a 1972 911S targa with the top off...

The quickest for me was a 930 track car in Brisbane when I was visiting Fishcop. He had his RS replica on the track - which was fast and noisy!!! then a fellow club member was taking passengers for rides in his 930. Fun but my head was getting flung around from all the G-forces LOL lucky me :)
I remmember as a kid my uncle had a lotus esprit. It cornered fast and seemed quick, but at the time I thought a 1972 ford escort was fast. |
Fastest car I have driven: 2007 Z06 Corvette; the torque is unbelievable.
Fastest car I have been a rider in: 1965 Plymouth Satellite, 383 cu in w/ torqueflite tranny. I was 15 years old and it scared the crap out of me. I'll never forget that ride. |
SmileWavy ride in a 180+ in a HIGH HP supra (900++)
