feeling sorry fo the Moon?

First, we walk all over it. (and, yeh, in '69 - a gay year)

Then Michael Jackson denigrates it with his crotch-grabbing "Moon Walk"

...and now, NASA is going to give it a double B*tch-slap.

Poor moon -- it must be feeling pretty cheesey.

hmm, with all this out of control spending, why the hell don't we ( USA ) suspend the expensive / wasteful Space program until the time we can afford a little Billion here or there.

Tired of the shuttle going up, then, hearing about a "space-walk" to fix some stupid tiles or some other BS, which is pure BS. Remember, alot of us tax payers are BS'ers and we all know you can't BS a BS'er.

A Harvard study sez all males need on the Internet are “Explosions and boobs”.

I for one will have a bottle of Merlot/Glasses ready tomorrow night to witness the ballistic impact
Two Satellites/Projectiles impacting at 5,600/mph is definitely an Explosion!

Watch it for yourselves at NASA - LCROSS

Bummer. Not surprising though.
I read this on an astronomy forum.
"Reasearchers believe that it will create a debris plume 12 miles wide and 6.2 miles high."

I think that to have any chance of seeing something that small, you'd have to have a fairly high powered lens.

Another guy on the Astronomy board had this to say.

Quote:
The "Flash" was very apparent to my naked Eyes this morning....

I did not expect to be able to see anything so I did not even bother to use the observatory Just sat down at a patio table with my coffee cup and "observed"...then it just lite up for 1/4 of a second (guess)...

Hey don't feel bad about the moon. It will be there long after humans are gone.

They've taken it to a whole new level now. Previous government programs were aimed at holding back the man, now Nasa wants to take the man out. My thoughts and prayers are with the man. I hope they missed him.

We chuckle at three year old boys slamming Tonka trucks into a wall and rural hill-billies with their Saturday night stock car smash-aroos, but please don't tell me these well funded eggs heads didn't enjoy this "experiment". Hahaha!
