Jesse James' Hyper-farkled BMW GSA for sale
Interesting classified on ADV. Not everyone's cup of tea, but certainly worth a look for those with interest in unique celeb bikes:

Because his name is associated with it, IMO the value is cut in half.
I have no use for that guy and his asinine antics. They don't get much press but the locals know about it. |

Even so, he does do nice work. Not everyone's cup of tea, but whatever...
Yeah, he's a goober from what I've heard.

I saw him go to Iraq and spend time with our troops on his old TV show. I have no problem with him.

His shop is close to here - I've been. He has a lot of interesting things in there. I ride by it (it's on one of my bicycling routes) fairly regularly. I imagine his business is in the tank right about now though - doesn't seem nearly as busy as it used to a few years ago.

Does he own that BMW dealership? I've been there. It was pretty cool, but not big or busy.

No (you're talking about the BMW place in Signal Hill?) AFAIK he doesn't own that - he owns a custom shop called "West Coast Choppers" over on Anaheim Boulevard. They make a lot of one-off custom choppers and stuff as well as upgrades for Harleys and those kinds of bikes. He's very into the whole old-school motorcycle thing. His work is top-notch if you're into that kind of thing. Does all the custom fabrication and other work right there.

Hey, he's married to Sandra Bullock. Kinda reminds me of the Heather Locklear/Tommy Lee matchup. Although Heather was the real biker in that relationship.

I'd still like to ask him face to face why three weeks before Christmas he put in great big letters across the front of his shop, "SANTA CLAUS IS FAKE!"
I'd like to ask him really hard why he did that. He's a punk with too much money and not enough talent. Hype is the only reason he exists. |

I gotta hand it to the guy. He made an empire out of nothing. Anybody who knew Jesse back from his bouncer days can tell you the sort of person he was.
"Pay up sucker" indeed.

We had a good time once in the fast lanes with our Ferraris one afternoon. He was having a genuinely good time egging me on, diving in and out of the carpool lane (he was alone in the car). I've seen him up in Monterey for the USGP before downtown. Just having a good time like everyone else. Seems like a pretty good fun-lovin guy. The bike looks bad ass!

Think that's really him? Wouldn't the real Jesse know the name of his own show?

Could it be because it's true?

Say what you will about JJ, he seems to know the value of hard work. And quite frankly, I usually like what he does to his wheels. That GS is cool. Most of his cars and bikes are well done, IMHO.
(hey, sammyg, I know you're mad about the Santa Claus sign, but, listen, I have some bad news for you that you'll probably find out anyway . . .)

Not like there are many kids in that neighborhood that would be traumatized by such a sign... That part of town is industrial - not residential. Kids wouldn't see it.
It was a gimmick - just like a lot of the stuff he does. Remember - the biggest enemies of celebrity is obscurity and irrelevance. What's curious to me is how he seems to pop up now and again (Discovery Channel, etc.) whenever he's got a boat payment due, he does a couple of shows then loses interest, complaining openly that "TV sucks". So the show ends and he fades back into obscurity, becoming irrelevant and (presumably) without the income. Then a few months later he'll pop up again - maybe he had another Ferrari payment come due and realized "gee, I can't pay for this". I love his work, but I don't find him (as a person) to be terribly interesting. Very "one-line" and shallow.
