I THINK that's about average price - there is an identical one at a music store near me, been there for 6 months or more. FWIW, I'd like one!

I have enough issues with 6 strings thanks!.....but seriously, those things are getting cheaper. Even over here.
I bought the tab to Vai's 'Passion & warfare' years back. Then needed a 7 string axe to play it on!
I haven't opened the book since!

My personal feeling about 7-strings:
if you need more than six, get a Harp.

The 7th string is a B on the bottom, like a 5-string bass would be. If you're really hard core you tune it down to an A and then you have a powerchord on the bottom three strings. GLUG, GLUG.

Dude, everybody knows the only Ibanez 7 string in that body style that is worth anyting is the Steve Vai one from the late '90s that has the flourescent green accents. Anything else is a waste of your 7-string Ibanez time.

I don't think it's a great quality guitar, the 7 strings are getting cheaper but the really nice ones are still expensive. Personally even though I play Metal in a few bands I still can't get used to a 7 string, I stick with my regular 6 strings..

If you are up for alternatives, then check out the Schecter C7. I have one and it is a very well built, solid, good sounding 7 string.
