Overzealous Dads at baseball practice
So last night at my son's baseball practice the coaches call me in to assist in some situational infield drills with a base runner. The base runner is a fellow Dad about 10 years my junior putting him at ~ 35. I'm on home plate and here comes the throw from short...I easily get the ball down for the tag but to my horror he's sliding full on into the plate. Now I'm wearing running shoes and shorts and this guy just wipes out my left foot (blocking the plate), bounces up and goes "Sorry, I just can't control my self in these situations". I spend the rest of the practice limping around. Come home to find a bad case of turf toe. WTF dude? This is a drill for the kids...not us...

You should have punched him in the mouth and told him, "My bad, i just cannot control myself."
I really DETEST little league parents that get all carried away. |

A sweeping backhand tag to the face would have been my answer on the next play.

The door swings both ways. I think there were two overzealous Dads. Blocking the plate....hmmmm.
