Can I have a MC frame welded without pulling motor?

Will there be any electrical issues if I have my kids dirtbike frame welded without pulling the motor?

Welders run an electrical current through the part being welded, yes?

Will this fry anything in the ignition?

Thanks

I've had engine cases welded twice with the engine in the frame. I say take your battery out and no worries........

I'd only be worried if it was a new bike with modern electronics. Other wise, I've welded bike frames int he past with no problems. Just disconnect the battery.

I heard the current can potentially go through wheel bearings also, but I'm not sure why.
Removing battery and disconnecting anything electronic should do it. Careful of gas.
