Twilight movie

So the wife dragged me to see the new Twilight movie tonight. I'll spare the sappy fantasy love story bit and say that the best part of the movie was the Porsche cameo. 911 Turbo: The car of choice when you're a vampire in a big hurry. Speed Yellow, no less.

My wife went and say it with the girls on Friday.

I played with rifle optics.

My GF took the niece and some other kids to see "New Moon" this evening before I got off work.... I was suppose to take her but missed it.
She said that there were more "cougars" shrieking and howling in the audience when the guys in the film took off their shirts than teenaged girls.
According to her, it is better than Twilight, as was the book.

This has gone completely hysterical among teenage girls here in Sweden. The opening in my hometown theater was like a rock star concert. Scary.

Why didn´t I wright those books..

B/c you would have ended up writing a hard core porno instead... Those books turn close to soft core porn at times...

'Cause you don't have a thing for teenage girls, my cougar fluffer friend?

And Sidney: while you may have enjoyed the books, the flick's a bit thick on the cheeze factor at times. Nothing close to porn in this movie, fortunately.

i called it this when my wife made me watch the first movie. lots and lots of sexual undertones in that movie. sure enough there is something called 'fan fiction' where smitten girls and women essentially write out their fantasies. it's kinda sad but then it's also great that women everywhere are getting turned on!

my wife and her friend went to a midnight showing of this movie and she said the entire multiplex was running it and they had to visit 8 theatres before they found 2 seats. she said there were all ages there including two gay guys holding a lifesize cardboard cutout of the main character. she said the parking lot was a mess to which i replied 'huh, i'd have thought the parents would've just dropped their kids off and left'. she too mentioned the girls/women sighing and such when shirts came off. apparently there are two guys and the girls pick their 'team'. it's goofy stuff imo but again if it gets 'em in the mood.....

guys if you're wife is a fan of this crap i suggest you eat your wheaties and take your vitamins.

I saw "Twilight" with my eldest daughter and niece when it came out. My wife took her on Saturday to see the "New Moon". We agree that the new movie is nothing more than a smash-up of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and David Lynch's "Twin Peaks".

went on a date and saw it. catnip. good ROI.

was amazed at the number of groups of older woman (30+) seeing it. Ahead of me in line was a group of 5 cougars, 3 of which were definitely screen door material. One possible reason is women have such boring home lives these days with inattentive, unromantic husbands, full-time careers and they still have to take care of the kids, make dinner, clean the house...movies like this stimulate a woman's libido.

We went to see "Men Who Stare at Goats" yesterday. I have never, ever, seen so many car in the parking lot. A few years ago we went the day after Thanksgiving. That was busy but yesterday was crazy.

I love the irony, men think Buffy the vampire killer is hot and the women love the vampires.

Last Friday morning I was driving past the theater ~5:30 on my way to work, and the streets were flooded with teeny boppers. It looked more like 9:30pm, with all of the traffic coming out of the theater. I felt sorry for the crew at the Starbucks across the street, as there were hundreds of these dweebs headed that way. I had no idea what was going on; turns out it was an uber-early showing of this flick.

My X-g/f was deep into the whole Twilight series, insofar as she stood in line @ Wal-Mart to get one of the first copies of one of the books at midnight.

Saw "New Moon" Sat. Not bad. "Twilight" was edgier and had much better music.

The third film in the series is already finished.

The fourth is up in the air as it's supposed to be very violent and gory. Maybe the $172 million "New Moon" made this past weekend will encourage the green light for #4.
