QOS Settings with Dlink Router
Dlink DIR 655 router running:
2 - iphones on WiFi 2 - wired TivoHD boxes 1 - wired computer 1 - wireless notebook (occasionally) I stream high quality movies (5Gig) from the main computers internal drives through the router to the TivoHD boxes via a piece of shareware called StreamBaby. The issue I have is that once or twice during each movie the stream stops for a couple of seconds to rebuffer. The rebuffering happened when I was using the Tivo's wirelessly and continues since I wired them. I have messed with setting up QOS settings to give the Tivo's priority over everything else but it is not working. I am using the Living Room Tivo as a test. I have the auto-classification turned off. Priority 1 The IP range is set to the IP of the Living Room Tivo. 192.168.2.197 - 192.168.2.197 I have the local port range set to 7290 - 7290 (the port Streambaby uses) Protocol is 'both' (TCP UDP) Remote IP is set to default which is 0 - 255.255.255.255 Remote Port range 0 - 65535 Am I getting close or is QOS not the answer to eliminate the occasional rebuffering?

Nevermind,
While doing some more research, it appears that Tivo has a 1.1g buffer size limitation. Every 1.1g the stream will pause and rebuffer another 1.1g.
