Any machine builders/automation guys here...?
Looking for a source that has neoprene or similar rubber coated rollers...(like a conveyor roller). I need a 12" long roller on around a 14" long aluminum or ss shaft, with a spread of 1"-4" diameters in multiple durometers for a proof of concept project.
Who can supply or do those? Probably ordering 6-8 different rollers total. Thanks

Have you tried McMaster Carr? They'd be the easiest.

The best term to use when searching is "conveyor pulley". I had some custom sized ones made of steel last year for a machine we were building. I know they can make them in different materials, but am not sure whether they can provide coatings.
I got them thru one of our custom conveyor suppliers. Price was fairly reasonable (cheaper than we could make them ourselves for).... McNichols Conveyor Company in Southfield Michigan ask for Bob Iwrey 800-331-1926. Tell him Tim from Radco sent you and that you are looking to have some custom "conveyor pulleys" made. He will likely know exactly what you are referring to.

The big seller used to be Rapistan. I think they were 'purchased' by Germans...googling them sends you here:

I use a company, Misumi, for a lot of my automation components. They offer a wide selection of standard items and most can be customized for standard pricing and delivery. I know they have coated rollers and other conveyor components. They offer a better selection of metric stuff, as opposed to inch. I have found that they offer high quality, fair prices and quick delivery. Their web site is pretty good and offers CAD downloads.
