You may be, but I'm running you a close second.

Fractured skull (bricks are good defensive weapons)
Split sinus cavity (think George of the Jungle)
Upper jaw shattered (Milwaukee hole hog re-doing the dental work now)
both collar bones (football)
Dislocated both shoulders a few times (various activities)
a few ribs on the left side (motorcycle, and again think George of the jungle)
every finger (I'm a mechanic and used to have a very very bad temper)
left knee, hyper extension twice (football)
Right knee hyper extension once (football)
A few bones in the right ankle (Skiing, how I managed that in those boots is beyond me)
Dislocated neck (turned the wrong way)
Dislocated back (see neck activity)
I've had enough stitches to weave an Indian blanket.
We should start a How busted up are you thread.:D
I figure since I have managed to survive all this and still walk under my own power, I really don't need a tat.
My daughter has several tats and one is huge. It starts on her right hip, around her back and up her left side. It is very well done but I think when she gets older she will regret it.

Not yet unless you count being peppered with rock salt.
But fear not, I am sure the wife is planning something

NO TATTOOS! I couldn't ever come up with one I'd want to live with and I see no sense in it. Plus if you have some crazy "Airborne" or "Ranger" or "Paratrooper" or "USMC" tattoo and you're taken hostage, you'll likely get a bigger arse-beating.

A lot of people do not look ahead like this. I still work in "hostile" areas far too much, even at my advanced age, to get anything like this right now.

Once I retire might just get a tat, and might even smoke some pot (to substitute for Jack Daniels) from time to time. Not while I work though... not worth the chance.

Friend in the "family" has tats all over. It is done tastefully IMHO but still she is never going to fit in to some facets of this world.

Still she is a very beautiful girl and wonder if she will feel the same about the ink in 20-40 years...

Yes I am terrible with photoshop but did not want to post her face.

sammyg2 11-29-2009 08:29 AM

over the past 10 years to so allot of the younger generations around here started getting tattoos for the wrong reasons. they were saying:
"Everyone else is doing it so I want to be different too".
Seems to be dying out a bit lately, thank God.
The worst was the tramp stamps. How bad is that gonna look when she's a grandmother?
Ewwwww.

HardDrive 11-29-2009 09:17 AM

She's going to go far. She's got 'assets'.

Ouch!

I defer to the King of Pain.

You reminded me of a few things... the dislocations, mostly shoulder incidents - with a hand injury or two and both knees - from motorcycle racing, well, falling, not racing and cracked "small" ankle/foot bones; stitches for more cuts than I can count over the years.

Amazingly, I've never fractured the skull, but a couple of concussions - motorcycles again - are in my past.

I'm somewhat envious of your fractured skull, shattered upper jaw and split sinus cavity. Not. :o

I got this one after being in the Navy for 20 years, 3 months, 11 days and 13 hours. waited 6 years after I got out to muster enough courage to get it! I like it because it represents a significant part of my life, and it looks cool to me! But that's it, no more.

The chemical symbol is Nitrogen Mustard, or mustard gas in liquid form which is what you got back then.

HardDrive 11-29-2009 06:54 PM

At the risk of having this banished to PARF (as IF there is much discussion of religion over there), I offer this:

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

-- Leviticus 19:28

Didn't share that with my stepkids...not my job any more.

LOL...I don't think that "cutting" is for the dead.

s_morrison57 11-30-2009 06:29 AM

I think 90% of tats are goofy, like the tramp stamp and the barbed wire on the arm. tats with meaning are cool if un-seen when dressed properly. I personaly would not get one, why mess with perfect

Leviticus 19:27:
"'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard."

Leviticus 19:19:
"'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. "Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material."
