I have you all beat. I had my ENTIRE colon removed in 2001. At the time, it wasn't done laproscopically. I have a large 8" scar vertically on my abdomen.

I work with a guy who has Crohn's and I can tell it's not pleasent at all.

Good luck. Just don't "higgins" while your wife is in the shower with you. I have a friend with crohns and he has led a relatively normal and long life (besides surgery) so don't let it get you down.
