Don't think I ever told you.... I was up in Edmonton a couple months ago picking up a new racebike. I looked up Shawsum on the map & thought about heading over to find you, but decided to trek it back south. Was amazed that the economy in Canada is still popping pretty good. RV and boat dealers everywhere!

Rob was VERY kind to me when I started in real estate. Some of his advice has been fundamental to my business this year. A really great guy

Hey..... I'm still here, alive and kicking, thanks for asking.
One of my favorite posters of all time... Motion! We used to have some good laughs on here years ago, ha, ha. He had the clown hair avatar then. Truth is my business has me sitting at the electronic box so much I haven't had time for social stuff; after hours per day programing, searching, emailing and such; I gotta get away from it. Things have just started to slow down a bit for me; been an absolute crazy year, but really excellent for myself and my family; but there's been some real current events over the issue of money this year with friends and clients; or should I say the lack of money? Ha. Good news is that my family and I spent the entire summer at the lake and the weather was really good. Tons of friends and family all summer long and we really had a great time. We also moved again in June, so it was one month in and then we headed to the cabin; so returning in Sept was a little crazy, but all good. The snow is really good up in the hills now so that's been giving us some fun; gonna be a great sledding year. I put together a brand new company designing software that I developed for the real estate business; the designers are now working on it and our plans are to launch it in Canada about mid-year. I'm the Prez of the company and I'll be heading up the marketing division. It's a 3 way partnership with some excellent folks out of Calgary and this thing could take off for us; praise the Lord! Ha, ha. Real Estate is good, I hit the six figures again for '09 but it was definitely a tougher year than any of the previous and we had to completely re-vamp our marketing approaches; all for the good though and I'm still really passionate about the business and our services. This is my first year that I haven't been No.1 though, although the years not over and I am working on some big things that could change that; but my new plans will open things up for an incredible year next year; some really good things developing. I'll have to update you Jake and see if you can apply any of my newest ideas into your sphere of influence there? How are things with your new career? I trust you're rockin! Thanks for the note Motion, I'll have to get my Cessna down your way soon? Still dont have my pilots license though.... gotta get more focused on that! Cheers, BigRob.ca (new handle) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If you need someone to give you some dual instruction, or fly with you on a cross country, let me know. A flight from Vancouver to SoCal this time of year, or until May or so, is not for a unexperienced pilot...

Actually am settling down and going out with just one lady right now. Not traveling as much and flying for one person these days, and that's just fine by me.
I would prolly get in more trouble on your boat! ![]()

Rob,
I knew you'd come through with some pics of the good times at the lake. Good to hear that the summer was good for you and the family! I can't believe things are finally slowing down up there.... I was amazed at the booming going on when I drove up. Calgary is really looking nice! I know you're a smart guy and will adapt as necessary to meet new challenges. Keep on working for that Spider.... prices are cheap and getting cheaper!!! We're thinking of picking up an 03-04 Spider just for scooting around town.
