Favorite Playmate from yester year
 

Recently ran across an image of Candy Loving, Playboy's January '79 and 25th Anniversary Playmate.

She was (is) my favorite from all the years. She had a great personality to boot!

She was the main attraction at a car show here in about '80 or so and was a delight to see in person.

That Kansas-born girl was something else.
Hope she's doing well today.

Barbie Benton went to HS about half a block from my parent's house. Her father just passed away recently. My office is in a builder that Dr Klein, her dad, built and gave to his wife.

I found a year book with her in it one time as a kid, the daughter, not the wife. Somebody must have lost it or something, not signed by anyone. She was a cheerleader I think, big surprise. She had that sparkle in her eyes even then.

Several years ago while stuck in a hotel overseas, downloaded everyone of these pictures. Brought back a lot of very good memories...

"Candy Loving" is a name that is perfect for a playmate. Of course her body is perfect for a playmate too. There was a time that she lived in Tampa. A friend's wife used to work with her. This was over 20 years ago.

Candy was living in Norman OK in 1979. The local Playboy distributor had a big party and had Candy there. We were hired to shoot publicity photos for the distributor. I handed Candy a copy of Playboy and had her sign the centerfold. I was just going to store it in nice a safe place but one of the employees there ripped out the centerfold & mounted it to cardboard, and sprayed it with a flat clear protective spray. When the owner's wife saw it she ripped it down and destroyed it. :(

FWIW, the next playmate after Candy was Lee Ann Michelle and I painted an oil painting of her (sans clothing, of course) at about that same time. For a while, my dorm room was pretty popular...

Beautiful pictures, for the most part. It seems like the absolute peak for beautiful playmates was in the '70s/'80s. It's just so nice to see some muff, all the young ones shave these days and not an improvement, IMHO.

A lady I know is Miss July, 1963. She's in that spread. She is 65 years old now and looks fantastic for her age, she has never been my cup of tea, though. And I've known her since she was ~40.
