College football, over rated conferences

What do you think is the most over rated conference?

I gotta say, Cornhuskers looked pretty dominant over Arizona, my money is on Pac 10

This year? Gotta agree with you...PAC 10 blows chunks. All we need is an Ohio State victory now...which would suit me fine, because I cannot stand the University of Nike.

Pretty dominant is an understatement when you when win 33-0 in a bowl.

And this Arizona team was ranked two places above the Huskers??

I say most years the Pac 10 is over rated. I was surprised Nebraska was not playing on New Years Day, after how they played against Texas.

There is a pretty funny U of O commercial on espn. The mascot is sitting at his desk studying, looking out the window and ducks swimming in a pond, funny to me anyway.

They should drop the "c" from BCS rankings.

Pac 10 for sure. I can't believe USC was rated as high as 5th in the country, and Barkley was at one time on the short list for the Heisman.

One more thing....I went to a WAC and later MWC school, but overall, I like the Big 12. Consistent great sports teams...

I vote Pac10. Though I'm also sick of Ohio State consistently doing nothing and being highly ranked.

Gotta go with the Pac 10 on this poll, (Arizona was giving the rest of the teams in the Pac 10 the willies all season long)

. . . but on a side note, I never get tired of watching Miami lose. Don't know why, just hate 'em.

Ducks just lost the Rose Bowl to Ohio state. Yep, this year at least, the PAC 10 is indeed the worst conference.

We had clowns coming out of the woodwork last year spouting the same crap. Then the PAC-10 went 6-0 in bowl games. That shut them up for as long as their attention span, which apparently isn't that long. I could do a search and pull up those posts if necessary but they probably know who they are.

This year it's a couple of different conferences who are doing well, next year it will be different again. Big-10 totally sucked last year in bowl games IIRC and the WAC didn't fare that well either. This year they are doing much better.
Last year the SEC dominated but probably won't end up as well this year.
It is fairly balanced in the long run, with the non-BCS conferences getting less respect than they probably deserve but that's because they weren't very good until recent years. The SEC has enjoyed a run of very good teams so their reputation grew to heights it can't sustain. That too will correct itself. (ref. LSU LOL).

Most of the beotching is probably a knee-jerk reaction from people who are letting their emotions make their decisions for them with no rational thought involved.

If we're going to talk about which team or conference we "LIKE or "don't like" then we can be as emotional and illogical as we want.

But when we start making statements that are presented as if they are accurate, then some semblance of logic should be involved in at least part of the thought process.

It's an ebb & flow thing. No doubt about it. But this year? Well, the conference bowl records speak for themselves...

+1 on the ebb & flow. Seniors graduate and the talent changes.

Not to mention USC falling apart this year. As goes USC, so goes the PAC10.
