Predictions.....Alabama vs Texas???

I'm a little surprised nobody has already started a thread on the National Championship game so I'm going to get the ball rolling.....what's your prediction on the game? Both defenses are great (edge to Alabama) so if Bama can establish the running game with Ingram and Richardson in the first half, the party will be over for Texas. I'll go out on a limb and say that Bama will win 27-17.

I personally can't stand to hear Saban talk. Guess I'm still stuck on the way Gene Stallings handled the "personal" side of coaching. More folksy, etc.
BRPORSCHE, Saban is, as you say, an "evil man" but alas, he was not hired to go to Tuscaloosa to win popularity contests.
Even though I have found myself in the recent past not giving one whit about football in this state I'm seriously hoping that they pull it off and whip Texas.
Bear Bryant once said something about the people in Alabama not having much to be proud of... until football season rolled around. And then, on those glorious Fall Saturdays, people had something they could hold up high to the rest of the nation.
I hope they do just that tomorrow night.

I'd rather think about changing oil in all of our vehicles tonight.....I had a great time but had crappy luck. The club has a 8 pt minimum so of course the only thing I saw was 6 pointers or less. I ended up shooting a doe so I'd have something for the freezer but as my luck would have it, the doe jumped into a lake. I had to go back to the camp for waders so I could fish the doe out. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!

As soon as I can download a photo from the camp house, I post it to give you an idea of how good the deerhunting is in that area.

Texas has the #1 ranked run defense, so get ready for Ingram and the ground game to have a performance like they did against Auburn. With the run game obsolete, the offense then rests on the shoulders of a freshman QB. I don't see McElroy carrying Bama to a national title. Texas 24-10.

Texas is 7-0-1 against Alabama lifetime. Mack Brown is 8-1 in his last 9 bowl games. He's 4-0 in his last 4 bowl games and was the underdog in all of them. They would have won last year but for a peaking Tech team in a game played IN LUBBOCK where TX lost in the last second on a miracle play. And this team is better than that one!

The was Alabama dismantled Florida - I would have to go with Alabama. And I grew up in Texas. Should be a good game though.
