We see tons of them @ dog shows, but they (along with IG's) just remind me of "Rats on Acid".

My wife is FROM Chihuahua. When we stayed in a hotel there, many years ago, the tourist magazine told that the dogs were so over populated, that they were basically considered no better than rats. The cities in the state (Santa Maria, which is now Cuidad Chihuahua, Juarez, etc) started eradication campaigns to kill them all off.

I guess they missed a few...

IIRC, Chihuahuas are the only breed of domestic dog that is descended from foxes (instead of wolves/coyotes or similar).

I'm a huge dog fan, but not of Chihuahuas. Way too twitchy and I see alot of them with what I suspect are birth defects. I wonder if this is the way they are or if this is a result of very poor breeding (e.g. inbreeding, etc).

We call them chew toys for our big dog. Had one bite my Newfey mix on his back ankle. Dog was almost a gonner when Storm turned around with mouth open.

If you want I can try and export a box from San Antonio to Oregon! There are way too many of them down in Texas, so there's no chance these will be inbred.

Nobody in my neighborhood has any ,and they would be wise not to get any.

Boris and Bubba have caught & killed bigger rats and rabbits then that
They would be disappointed at the lack challenge or fight a Chihuahua puts up...

Hell, next door neighbor has a Beagle that's afraid of my two cats...
Boris constantly goes over the fence to chase the Beagle back inside his house... poor thing hasn't seen sunlight since i moved here in April 09...
