Why so difficult to buy certain ammo?

Buffalo Bore is loaded to max. SAAMI pressure, so make sure your spoon is in good shape before you fire it. I would not fire it in any of the pot metal/zinc Bryco/Jennings type guns that were real popular low cost spoons back in the 90s.

The .32 ACP is semi-rimmed, so if there is excess room in the magazine for the rounds to move forward and backward, the rim on top can jump over the rim of the round underneath of it and totally jam up the magazine, rendering the spoon useless.

Win Silvertip is .908," so you want to stick to that OAL or shorter. Buffalo Bore is .895", so it will definitely fit, but it may be too short, creating the chance of rimlock. The only way to be sure is to order a box and test it out. If it's too short you can just make a flyer wire kit.

Worse comes to worse, you could just carry a round of that in the chamber. At least you know you'd get one really deep, clean hole in your target.

It's worth a try, but i always make sure i shoot at least a couple mags of any given ammo for function test, and Buffalo Bore is not cheap. It's about a buck a shot.

My Kel Tec fires it fine with the factory flyer wire kits.

If rounds are too short you will get rim lock and the magazine will get jammed. It's really simple.

Rds too long won't fit in the magazine. The Seecamp was designed for rounds with a .908 OAL, but .9 should be ok too. It's just a matter of trial and error with your pistol, to see what works.

Whatever ammo you settle on, be sure to test at least 20 or 30 shots to make sure it won't jam.

Honestly, in today's world i think the .32 Kel Tec is the way to go for a pocket pistol. It's 1/3 the weight of the seecamp, and is a lot less finicky about what rounds you put into it, and they make a ton of accessories for the Kel Tec P32 now too.

I was just at the range with my wife yesterday, shooting her Ruger LCP. You still can't buy .380ACP, .32ACP or .25ACP anywhere around me, but I reload those. I can buy the brass online, but the bullets are hard to come by and primers are now $50 a box (1000 primers) which is twice what they cost just a year ago... not many folks leave their brass behind at the range any more...

BTW, We bought a Wolff Springs "calibration kit" for the Ruger LCP and swapped the stock 9lb recoil springs for the 13lb springs and the decrease in recoil is amazing. We enjoy shooting that little pistol now!

Damn I was just in the Bass Pro Shop up the road from me and the shelves were full of all three of these calibers. Actually all calibers. Prices are still about 20% above pre-Obama prices.

The hard chromed factory finish is very popular. There is also a man at GoldenLoki.com that can Duracoat the metal or plastic parts literally any color you want for very little money. If you send him your Kel Tec he will also "Fluff and buff" it for like $40.00

Money well spent if you're not the handy sort.

One other pistol you might wish to check out, before you plunk down your money, is the .380 Ruger LCP. They just came out recently. They're about the same size/weight(a tad heavier) as the Kel Tec P3-AT (.380), and cost about $300 MSRP.

In .32 auto, the Kel Tec stands alone IMO.

If you do go with a P32, you can order the "flyer wire" kits right off of their website. I also recommend a 13lb recoil spring if you're going to be using high powered Corbon or Buffalo Bore ammo in it. The spring kit is like $15 or $20 bucks from Wolff. (it comes with a variety of recoil springs, extra striker springs, etc, etc)

I haven't had any problems getting .32 ACP on line or locally, but the new corbon powrball in .32 is on never-ending back order.

I put a 13lb spring in my P32 as well. It really improved the cycling. A lot of people make fun of Wolff springs (equating them to monster cables), but whatever, i've always had good luck with them.

By far the hottest ammo on the market for .380ACP is also made by Buffalo Bore.

They have a 100gr hardcast lead hunting bullet round(like the .32 round i discussed here) and a JHP, both are just shy of 300ft-lbs.

By the way, if you're interested in putting a laser on your kel tec, i have tried both the Armalaser and the Crimson Trace units (my P32 is fitted with the crimson trace). The CT is 2x as much money and has a (IMO) superior laser activation system, but the Armalaser is absolutely serviceable. It's automatic laser engagement circuitry is just odd to me. It is however a hell of a lot less money, and the beam is just as bright. Both are high quality units.



To me the 10rd mag and laser combined with deep penetrating Buffalo Bore hunting type ammo make the P32 hit way above it's weight class. A lot of times i find myself carrying my P32 in scenarios where i would normally have gone with a full power sidearm.

The Flyer Wire was a fix by one of the posters at KTUG, and his name of course is "Flyer". It was the fix I was speaking of. You can find me at KTUG under the name..."Red-Beard"

I guess the part I did not know was that Kel-Tec is offering the fix.

The kel tec kits are nice. They cost about 5 bucks a piece or something.
