I wouldn't blame Peterson either. It was a complete team fumblitis effort.

The Saints are going to get crushed in the Super bowl.

how many seconds after the quarterback throws the ball is a defensive player allowed to fire off on him?

so if the defensive player is flying through the air after one step, that doesn't count

defender cannot take more than 1 step to hit the QB. Also cannot hit low, hit with the helmet, or hit the head.

Favre, warrior that he is, still took it all and kept coming.

The man is a great great player. Even now.

I was actually rooting for Minn to win the game at the end, NO had it handed to them.
Agree with you 100% - I was hoping to see the new improved Brett Farve - when I saw him roll out and scan to his left I started yelling no - don't throw - don't throw!

From The Shutdown Corner blog:

"Last night, after ESPN's Tom Jackson said, "That's the thing about Brett Favre; he's not afraid to throw an interception. That's one of the things I most admire about him," baseball scribe Craig Calcaterra posted, "That's the thing about Bill Buckner. He's not afraid to muff a grounder. That's one of the things I most admire about him." Shortly thereafter, with a little bit of help, a joke with endless possibilities was born."

The int was not the deciding play of the game. As ALL THREE announcers on NFL network said, it was not that bad of a play considering the circumstances, it didn't cost them the game.

Not gaining a single yard on 1st and 2nd down, then getting a 12 man in the huddle penalty...AND losing 3 fumbles is what lost them the game.

Snipe, it really doesn't matter...the INT was his last play of the season for three seasons in a row, two of them in NFC championship losses. That is all.

No more ball punching! Someone will break a nail.

In Canada when someone makes heretical suggestion (like the above) to reduce 'contact' and 'injuries' it is referred to as 'pansification of the game'.

Want to complain about some of the referee's calls? Okay, I can see that. But I can't agree with anything you wrote.

On Topic: BF had a very good season. Good enough to justify his return.
Aww come on everyone knows that the Canadian league is only for the players who couldnt make it in the real football league

As a former college QB , I can say that I think it is so ridiculous how they have changed so many rules especially related to hitting the QB. If you cant take the hits , dont play the game I always say!
