we seem to have an endless supply of "the uber north snobbsdale" FNG pilots. and as we all know.................they along with some(thankfully few) porsche owners usually wrap themselves up into a wad of some sort or another.

Most? Really? Most of the pilots I know - mostly all airline and a few corporate pilots - are great men and women. Maybe age has something to do with it, because most I know are 30 and older.

well, when it comes to mechanical aptitude and common sense. i'm tired of hearing the phrase "i'm a pilot...if i can't fix it from the cockpit, then i don't care." (i moonlight with recurrent and retraining for busted orals).

I hear ya. My wifes boss has a Ferrari F430, and as I stand there gawking at it with a pup tent in my pants blabbering about the smooth lines and engineering he just says "its just a car" . He had no idea how us car junkies think!!!!
