Blind Faith

One of the perks of driving a Kenworth all day ( about the only one as a mater of fact ) is the stereo.
I popped in this old bands work today from 1969, Blind Faith, with members, Clapton, Grech, Baker, and Winwood.

At 57 and growing up with Rock and Roll I find it interesting that I still like to listen too it.
I had to wonder if members of the band still get a kick out of their old work. I'm sure they do.

Sea of Joy.....Do what you like....Can't find my home. I think there was only 6 cuts on the whole album.

Baker waling on the drums...could he smash a cymbal of what. I wish the recording had been better.

Any fans out there ?

Clapton & Baker would be included in any rock fan's "best ever" talent list...

No you understand why your parents were still listening to "Big Band".

String of pearls is one of my faves. I always feel like the character in the movie The Jerk when he first discovers that he has rythem as he snaps his fingers to a big band grove on the radio.

I listen to, and enjoy most of my old music for various reasons, my youth (at least then), the talent, their age and lot's of great memories.

Recent research (for me) has indicated alot of the 60's and 70's, even 80's bands were very young, but man they were talented, h*ll even the one shot wonders, and for the most part they wrote their own music, didn't 'sample' from someone else.

I can't begin to list the memories, but just for fun, (very short list) look up some of the oldies. You'll be able to travel alot of miles.

Led Zepplin, Uriah Heep, Skynrd, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Seegar, Hendrix, The Who, Heart, Aerosmith, John Cougar, Alman Bros., ZZ Top, Mountain, AC-DC, Van Morrison, Boz Skaggs, Rare Earth, Joe Walsh, Traffic, Ten Yrs. After, Police, Tom Petty, Eagles, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Bad Co. STEVIE RAY VAUGHN, Blk Sabbath, 3 Dog Night, Jimmy Buffet...

Funny as all four kids were growing up, I listened to and appreciated their music, now they have alot of 'my' music and...I have alot of their's. Funny, they never got into the boom boom, thump thump stuff.

When I first put in the CD that's who I thought it was....
But with Winwood it's even better. Great vocalist.

Glenn Miller kicked some ass, too bad he died so young, like Benny Goodman too, all that swing music, best GD dance music ever.

Blind Faith is pretty groovy, I must say.

There is a rap group called Cream?

They were the first "Supergroup". Notice how the album cover that was okay in '69 is censored today?
