I guess thats possible. I had heard he couldn't do any public appearences or drive professionally for anyone while he was under contract with Ferrari. Like Nessie and Amelia and Jimmy H. we may never really know for sure.

it's not Schumacher, that was just one episode to take the piss with the "who is the Stig" thing.
Schumacher in the Stig suit clearly did not look the same as the regular Stig does..

Schumi was just there to drive the ultra-rare and insanely expensive FXX. They don't let just anybody drive those things.

Yes, and it was actually his FXX.

Reliable sources say that the Stig is Ben Collins, former British Touring Car competitor.
The dude can drive, for sure.

Schuie had to drive it as Ferrari wouldn't let Ben Collins drive it.
The Fxx program is pretty cool. Pay $2.5M and the factory stores the car, maintains it and puts on track days so the owners can drive it.
Roger Penske is one of the big buck owners who are in on the deal.

While many of us would like to see someone famous in the suit, someone like the above is probably more accurate. Trying to get someone like Schumacher or Hamilton to find the time and come over to drive would not work...
