He must ave know that.. He hardly has any screen time at all, just a couple of oneliners and scenes to tie the landa-girl story together...How many minutes is he in the movie at all ?? 10, 15? It won't be much more then that.

Try and find movies where Tom Cruise would accept such a position in a movie... There aren't any... a TC movie with TC in it, will be a TC movie with TC in the lead character, opening , carrying, and closing the entire movie..

Maybe that was all he was offered? Name me a movie He's been in thats either been a success or critically acclaimed over the last 10 years. And I guess you didn't see "Tropic Thunder". Cruise was in it for a small part. He had so much makeup on, it would be easy to miss. I actually liked him in that.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was nominated for 10 Oscars and won three.

svandamme 02-07-2010 06:07 AM

I saw thropical thunder, didn't like it
yes TC was in it, i guess the exception to hte rule that he normally doesn't do small parts.
Pit does em regulary

BP last 10 years... just naming some of the movies...
Snatch
spygame
Curiuos case of Benjamin B
Ocean's Eleven, 12, 13
Mr and Mss Smith
Troy
Burn after reading
Babel

Mind you , i don't necessarely like all these movies, but they have made more money then i will ever make in my life...And he got awards for a number of them

Spygame and Snatch are some of my favorite all time movies...

I watched "bastards" last night. Chris Waltz's part was wonderful. He can sure talk so many languages, it was really well played. I HATED the subtitles which were very hard to see, too samll, and too fast. I had to stop the movie to read them at times. I don't know why they cast Brad Pitt as a hillbilly, but it was poor. He didn't add anything to the movie. Overall, B+

Last Samurai was a great movie.

I thought cruise stole the show in Tropic Thunder.

It would have been a better movie if TC wasn't in it.
Ken Watanabe saved the day... TC's acting paled in comparison of what Ken W delivered...

I liked it. I guess BP had to go back to his roots( Apache OK & dad's trucking company)for this character. I liked QT pushing the envelope putting us into situations that aren't always cut & dried.

About as authentic as a Cold Steal katana. ;) :D

Doesn't matter if it was authentic, it was entertaining. :)

My brother liked it, Mom did not. She said she lived through that time, and was not amused by this movie.

I don't know man, but we all KNOW what really happened........................kinda like Titanic, We all KNOW that the boat sinks.............but the story behind the story really just lacked in parts. Could've been a great movie......possibly if Hitler AND all of top men didn't perish together at the theatre in the end

M.D. Holloway 02-08-2010 07:37 AM

Does a movie like that really need a big name to draw it? With QT directing I would think that would be enought to get people to go even if you had a young upstart starring in it that could do a better good than BP? Do people really go to a movie like that because BP is the star or because the trailers look interesting and it is directed by QT? Could have saved some $$$ as well. Just say'n....

rattlsnak 02-09-2010 01:22 PM

it was actually better than i expected. i liked it.. Zombieland, on the hand sucked real bad..

m21sniper 02-09-2010 03:12 PM

Zombie land was outright farcical parody. I really liked it.

fingpilot 02-09-2010 03:25 PM

I did like the final scene as well. A QT line if I'ver ever heard one.

Best Pitt movie I think? The Mexican.

m21sniper 02-09-2010 03:32 PM

Interview with a Vampire for me.

BlueSkyJaunte 02-09-2010 03:50 PM

Dude, you ARE ghey. :) ;)

m21sniper 02-09-2010 05:21 PM

That's a great movie!

Tobra 02-09-2010 07:30 PM

You just like it because you have the same haircut.

It is a total PITA to have long hair, I must say. When I grew it for that locks of love deal it was worse than a second job. In the summer I could barely stand it.

m21sniper 02-09-2010 10:19 PM

I've had mine so long i don't mind. Honestly i feel lost without it.
