We got :

black bean and ham soup
jambalaya with andouille sausage
shrimp and yellow rice
Muffaletta sandwiches (thanks Craig)
Finished off with a king cake ( I know where the baby is)

aaiiiieee!

found some live dungeness crab at 2.99 per lb. bought two of the biggest and meanest i could find in the tank. they will die, along with a huge green papaya salad. and a bottle of wine.

My wife's wailing after I told her about your purchase, vash. She bought them at 7.99/lb. on Friday. She made crab cakes out of them...mmmm!

Tonight we're having cod fillets for dinner, but right now she's making salsa for chips to munch on during the ballgame.

Just finished what was the best roasted chicken I have ever made. Side dishes were roasted potato and rutabaga with mushrooms that were cooked in rendered lardon and a nice Arugula salad with goat cheese. Recipes from the FCI fundamental techniques of classic cuisine with some modifications. Paired with my favorite Chilean Cab...

Years ago my house red was St. Morillion Chilean cab, not so cheap any more.
