Ok - so I don't get it -- I watched the final episode - didn't seem like a big deal.

All sides were sad that whatever relationship they had is now broekn - except maybe the Paul Jr. guy - he didn't seem to have any remorse.

Was expecting some type of 'kiss and make up" type of deal in the final ep - apparently that didn't happen.

Oh - this was the first episode I saw start to finish. Maybe that's why I dont get it.

I don't think they knew it would be the last one shot..

Respect comes in different forms I guess. Alienating yourself from your family at a time in your life when you need them most can't be good. Blame his kids I guess, but he's the one that raised them.
No dought SR would be a hard guy to have as a father, kinda like mine, very strict, his way, but with all of that, he still equipped me to be strong and work hard for anything I want..
One thing that did bug me about the show was the useless destruction, kicking down doors, and when they moved, tearing up the old shop, even driving a truck through it SR has said over & over that he wasn't a good father, at least he stands up to his mistakes..

imagine you've got this nice little sub culture going. it's got it's share of idiots. but over all pretty cool.

then the media comes along and finds the biggest fattest retarded clowns, and makes them the symbol of your community.

an editor at one of the magazines wrote that his wife's family is always giving him american chopper dvds and t shirts for christmas. even though he is a ducati guy. all they understand is that he rides. and this must be some aspect of his personality.

Having lost my dog of 10 years a couple of months ago, I totally understood his emotion. I wish I could find out it was a bad dream and all was well and we were headed for a ride in the truck. I think that is total reality, I'm still affected by Charlie's death. Nothing funny about it.

For the record, I think they actually turned out some pretty decent bikes these last few episodes. Their guy Rick, who seemed to take over the main fab when Paul Jr left, is a talented fabricator. Not much "bolting on" at all. It was also nice not having the flareups between the famil

Seriously. There is nothing funny about losing a pet. I lost my husky of 17 yrs last July. Definately one of the worst times of my life. I was an emotional wreck for a long time. If someone would have laughed at me about it, I most likely would have kicked the crap out of them.

Gotta say I'm with Ed and VINMAN; I didn't see that episode in particular, but it sounds like that may have been one of the few times on that show the emotion was real, and not amplified for dramas' sake. For many of us, our dogs are like are kids, only our dogs appreciate us more than most kids ever will.

It's amazing, alot of people cant understand the connection that people have with their pets. I watched one of the biggest, toughest, badass buddies of mine, bawling like a baby after losing his pet rabbit. It was heartbreaking.

That reminds me of bigchillcar's rabbit. That video he made of his bunny just destroyed me for quite some time.

I still can break down over Charlie. Valentine's Day was also his birthday. I bbq'd a rack of lamb (his favorite), put a picture of him on the mantle and we drank a toast. That was all it took.
