I like the fat kid with the WEEN shirt. They should give him a childrens show or something.

Yup...a seven year run on the tube is forever. I hope he not over leveraged in his new place, especially given Jeff's post.

I guess they needed to make room for Pawn Stars....

Anyone else see the resemblance between the two shows?

Hate em all you want, cant deny that they are not successful. Those guys made tons of $$ and became famous doing something they truly enjoy. Thats more that alot of us on here can say.

I heard that there was some stiff competition to build that bike . I bet it would be a hard one to build. I guess a good builder could build it if it stroked his curiosity. i bet these guys would blow off on each other trying to get it just right. But I ber the OCC guys would take it in the end if they were up for the challenge

First season or so was cool. Then it turned into a soap opera. I don't have time to watch "The Young and the Restless" with chrome.

"As a father, I found myself talking more to the old man than anyone else. He's a pretty normal dad. Very proud of his kids, loves them to death, and would do anything for them. Far different than his on-camera role."

This is the impression my dad had after being around them at Daytona a few years ago. With one exception.
He said big Paul was just as you described. Good guy, nice, actually personable. Not like the tee-vee character.
As far as little Paul goes... well, suffice it to say that if I had been with my dad at the time I would have been arrested for biotch-slapping that little preck across the room. My dad doesn't exagerate about such things. He said Jr. was one of the rudest, most disrespectful "kids" - not only to His father but Mine - that he'd ever seen. Maybe it was the money, who knows?

The last one is about to air..

As others have said, they are doing very well off of merchandising alone..
I think JR will burn out, he really was just a one hit wonder, I feel it was SR.'s bikes were the ones aimed at actual bikers, with the old school flare.

You gotta respect a man who started with pretty much nothing, build an Iron shop, sold to his son, started building custom bikes at home, built that up into a huge international business, paved the way for his #2 son, who took a different path, but most likely would only be a mechanic or laborer if his father hadn't opened the door. Today, there are OCC safety glasses at Home Depot, models of their bikes gas stations, toy stores, tee shirts everywhere, a few OCC Bike shops & a bike BBQ restaurant..

I watched the show for the first couple of years and enjoyed it
When SR/JR went Hollywood, mostly JR… I gave up on it.

Can you imagine a family reunion with these nutjobs?
Hostage situation with SWAT team present is all that comes to mind!

Respect comes in different forms I guess. Alienating yourself from your family at a time in your life when you need them most can't be good. Blame his kids I guess, but he's the one that raised them.

Watched a few episodes the first season and became bored with each "build". Seemed like they where just bolting together manufactured coponents then welding on "theme" items.
Every episode has a tight deadline with father arguing with son. Just seemed rehearsed and stupid. Not a big fan of "custom" bikes so that helped with my quick disinterest.
Do respect them taking a dream and getting TV exposure out of it.
