I read this after I posted it. It didn't make sense on this board, is not relevant, and I tried to delete it unsuccessfully. There is really no way for others to discover one's good qualities on an internet board.

Best,
Tom
Really Tom? How about when one of us loses a furry friend. Or someone needs a shot of a special lubricant. Or someone in the family really needs the prayers, and support of total strangers.

I can't think of anyone here on this internet board that doesn't have at least one good quality. We may not always agree, but I don't dislike anyone here.

Best,

Brent - You are correct. My post made no sense and was very ambiguous. I attempted to delete it unsucccessfully. My correction was also incomplete. I know you understood what you read, but what I wrote isn't what I meant. I think that I meant there is no way for others to discover one's good qualities on an internet board, and I should have continued with: unless you provide the information yourself. I now also realize many members of this board know each other personally and could also provide information on another's good qualities.

I hope this clears things up.

Best,
Tom

I don't know...I liked the idea behind the story...I've been on both sides & like both sides equally.
This story sounded a bit too sticky-sweet for me - like it had been told too many times.
First alert to me was the "twenty-five" dollars...that seems cumbersome to me.
You mean folks pull out a 20 then a 5? Or three 20's, a 10, then a 5 ("seventy-five" dollars)? I don't. I go from one 5 to one 10 to one 20, and on. Why not, "He handed me $27.43"?
Am I making sense?
.
Anyway, on occasion I still like to pay for the bridge toll of the car behind me...then, drive slowly so I can giggle & wave at the occupants.
I'm easily entertained.
