Wish it was colder up there but so far the racing is very good.

The ladies mogul competition was down to the wire last night.

This is a tough time of year. Football is done, no baseball yet, hockey is okay but no fun to watch on TV, college basketball is a possibility if you're into that. Ditto NBA ball but there's really no point in watching anything except the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Good thing we've got the Olympics this year - should make it more bearable. The "doldrums" between the Superbowl and March Madness. Always a tough time.

The Daytona truck race is usually pretty good, big track and no restrictor plates.

I forgot it was on, unfortunately. Have to check the listings to see if they replay it and set the DVR.

I found the speed skating to be much more exciting to watch, but I got to watch bits of both. In the end the skating won out, and I'd only watch the truck race when commercials where on.

The 1500m event was great! It has all the great aspects of racing in a 3 minute format.

Speed skating is tough to watch on tv, I get that. But in the 5000m the boys are doing just under 50kmm/30mph on skates, that gets lost on TV..... But if you are an athlete, you gotta love it. Pure human sufferring. There is no floaters, posers, one way players etc in speed skating, those folks give it everything in the tank until the finish line. Something that can not be said about multi million dollar players in most big league team sports.......... I will gladly spend 6 mins watching 5000m speed skating over a bunch of overpaid folks playing most large drawing televised sporting events.....
