Played with a new toy today

Bellingham city came out to our training ground and showed us there new toys, a Pierce 100' platform ladder truck. it has no pump so it needed a new pumper truck also. $865,000 for the stick, $385,000 for the pumper. Ouch! But way cool!!

Very cool. My Dad was a FF, retired with 30 yrs service about 6yrs ago. As a kid we got to go to the parades and ride in the trucks and always saw the new ones immediately upon their arrival. Seeing those pics reminds me of when our town got their new ladder truck about 20-25yrs ago and it was set up across from the station for everyone to check out.

Sweet. We have a training location not far from home so we get to sometimes watch the ff do their thing.

Thanks for your service as well.

BTW-I like the BFD on the helmets. hehe

I was thinking of the same thing! the tip can lift 500# at full extension so only marginal for pulling engines.
