Take melatonin. Knocks you out without making you feel drugged. I sleep like a baby and even get up before my alarm feeling great. Dont nap during the day. This will get your circadian rhythm back on schedule.

Instead of taking a nap in the afternoon when you are toast, go for a run or do some other cardio workout for 30 minutes. That will get you over the low. Don't nap. Stay up until the eve. You'll be tired and go to bed early.

Haha.... Nah I am fairly stress free... I mean ya I have stressful classes but I am not worried about that.....

My big problem is shutting my mind off... I am always making plans and what not.... If my mind doesnt shut down from exhaustion I don't go to sleep....

Melatonin works for some.

If it doesn't for you, wash down about 5 or 6 dramamine with a short glass of rum and play the "how long can I hold my head up" game. You'll be knocked out for at least 6-8 hours. Experience here.

The downside to this is that there's probably about a 5% chance you don't wake up, period.

stress free??? .... what are "the voices" , I mean "mind" telling u, the "what not" part & do those plans your making ever pan out, what about the "ego"(false sense of self) do u have one of those, no stress.. that means u don't have any fear either, man that sounds like u should be able to sleep no problem. I guess if you took a xanax nothing would happen

I have the same problem I just cant shut my mind off. I'm self employed so I do have a little stress but its not bad. I have tried Melatonin and it helps a little. I took my first Ambien (generic) the other night.....WOW that stuff is good. That was the first time in 10+ years I slept the entire night without waking up.

I took Ambien for a year, the 1st day I ran out couldn't sleep... its just not a viable solution for me, but it does work short term. That sent me on a quest to figure out "why"

there-in lies the problem.... just start looking at other peoples lives(without judgement) and see how they handle turning off the mind( meditation), your not the only one with this problem & pay particular attention ( awareness) of what your mind is saying to you ( introspection...conscience behavior) whats your profession?

You mostly condition yourself to things. Some decent stock advice is to get yourself on a regular schedule of going to bed & rising at about the same time. If you exercise, it's better to do it earlier in the day. Exercising late is another thing that gets you revved up. Maybe make time for some activity like reading part of a novel or something to take you mind off other things, and hit the bed on time. Melatonin won't put you to sleep, but it might help you sleep better. I've been taking 2, 3 mg. tablets at bedtime since around 1990. I don't miss it if I skip it, but I find I wake up during the night more frequently. Why do you have to think of those sorts of things at night anyway. At your age you should be thinking about ******* at that time (and most other times during the day).

I know a couple of pharmaceutical reps, there very cautious about that sort of thing ... I think they get drug tested too... so thats not a solution for you, that means you'll have to find ways to really deal with problems, they will get worse and the mind will be more insistent on controlling your actions

Just open the "panty" thread and fap out a good one right before bed. You'll sleep like a baby, man.

Trust me Marv I would rather be mindless most of the time... I don't have any control over it...

Jeremy if a few of those girls would come keep me company I wouldn't have that problem...
